Hello and thank you for looking at our property! Over the years we have used this house for our family and extended family so it feels like our HOME away Home. We give you, our guests, the personal touch from the moment you make your reservation. Renting our vacation home has been a fantastic experience—largely because of all the interesting guests we’ve hosted! How else would we have met famous authors, sommeliers, not to mention the dozens of other families and friends who have made 'Sanctuaire' their home away from home for many years? We bought the property many years ago as a 'retreat' from the grind of being big-law lawyer in New York City. We extensively renovated the house to feel like our family home in Aspen, Colorado- yet closer to Chicago. We are blessed with the property and has been a direct positive correlation between our personal and professional lives. We’re avid outdoor family of hikers, swimmers, sailors,snowboarders, skiers and kayakers! Mona, a former Chef in France, loves to cook and invite family and friends to share in her fresh farm to table food and wine pairings! Over the many years, our family and friends simply cherish, love and enjoy 'Sanctuaire' and we offer it to select guests. It has very positive energy. We are meticulous about its maintenance, appearance, and appeal. We have both legal and business experience representing hotels all over the world. Through our commitment, legal & business experience, Sanctuaire has established a business relationship with our guests that will last a lifetime.

We truly want our guests to love Sanctuaire and the surrounding Southwest Michigan area as much as we do! As we are both skilled chefs, we equipped the kitchen to feature everything you would need to prepare a great meal. We even offer wonderful recipes, easy meals that will delight your taste buds and give you energy for days' activities!. We also love our private and clean hot tub overlooking the lake!We have guests who have never traveled to Southwest Michigan and are sometimes a little nervous and so I try to make them familiar before they arrive by knowing what to expect. Also- When you book with us, you will receive more than just a great house however, you will receive customized service tailored to your specific desires. Lastly, please know all utilities, TVs, the hot tub, etc. will be checked-in 24 hrs prior to your arrival; and the porch light will be turned on so you will be welcomed by a warm and inviting environment.
