Crescent Arms in October
Crescent Arms is excellent with it's beach front location and views. There were a couple of minor problems with the condo which were promptly addressed. The maintenance manager had one corrected and the property manager offered a partial refund for our inconvenience which I accepted. THEN, I got home to an e-mail stating it was the property managers refund policy that I agree not to post a review in order to receive the refund leaving me to believe it was not for inconvenience.
Linda was very accommodating allowing us to check in earlier upon arrival. Beautiful view from condo however pictures are a little deceiving, condo not nearly as nice as it looks on website.
Upon arrival we noticed the property wasn’t clean (trash behind the couch, dirty sheets, foot prints on the wall, etc), there was multiple issues like broken storm windows, mold around vents/bathrooms, a broken blind, peeling paint. My husband and I contacted the manager via email ASAP and sent pictures, went to the store to buy cleaning supplies, and cleaned what we could of the property. The property manager only offered to clean the property again then stated we’d have a refund at the end of the week. I continued to email back and forth, especially after my husband had a cockroach crawl across his foot in the living room, sending more pictures of proof. We asked for a refund. The manager stated we would receive only a $250 refund but couldn’t leave a bad review should we take it citing it was “in the contract.” I told her it was unacceptable and went back and forth about issues with the condo and a reimbursement as their end wasn’t upheld. I was then blackmailed after I stated I would contact VRBO about the issues with the property that should I leave a bad review, they would in turn leave a bad review about myself as a renter so that other owners could beware of us, although I’ve never had ANY issues with any other property we’ve rented. I had no intentions on leaving a bad review had there been a fair and just outcome but Sunnyside Properties handled the situation poorly, tried to blackmail us, and refused to offer a refund when there most definitely should be one! Siesta Key was beautiful, the condo ruined it for us, and so did the poor management skills of the manager, Lisa. Luckily, we have saved pictures, videos, and emails to back the experience we had! So renters, the pictures are very, very deceiving!
Was not the vacation we thought it would be!
This unit is an end unit situated right next door to another resort. Loud parties by the pool at that resort kept us up until 12:00-1:00 every night. We spoke to the front office and was told there was no curfew time there. The front office was very rude because we didn’t rent the directly from them. They couldn’t answer any of our questions. The master bedroom did not have a bathroom in the suite. It was in the hallway. The guest bedroom with a queen bed and twin bed had the master bath. The dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes. However, with all that went wrong on our trip, the maintenance guy, Greg, was very helpful and called back very quickly and helped us so much! The beach was beautiful!
We aim for the perfect guest experience and we always appreciate feedback from our guests. We're very sorry to hear that this experience was not up to standards! That's the first time we've heard of any problems with parties next door. We are immediately addressing that and the rude behavior through the COA! (The dishwasher has been repaired!)
