6 night stay with three children 9-5yrs. Lovely outdoors, close to gorgeous beaches, need a car!
The location is VERY rural- surrounded by fields with animals, goats, horses, dogs- quite a bit of noise, but we loved it. We could see goats from the kitchen window, and really enjoyed the setting. The outside of the property was pretty. Electric gates, barbed wire fence (neighbours had guard dogs!) There was direct access to the back of the house from the front garden. Outside the back was gorgeous, we loved the terrace, the natural furniture, big long,wooden table perfect for family dinners and card games late in the evening, watching the sun set. The pool was clean, warm (30 degrees) with 4 sun loungers, towels and cushions if needed. There were two parasols. The pool was close to the house and terrace which was a bonus for us. The Finca service came in to clean the pool. There as an outhouse with a washer and a drier- very rustic building and very cluttered with outdoor stuff. The washing line was around the back of the outhouse. Not enough pegs. The area around there was cluttered with broken parasols, bricks, gas canisters. Not safe for children. Inside, the Finca did not suit us well. It was extremely cluttered- we had to move tables and chairs outside so we had indoor space to move around. But the sitting room was very comfortable. The kitchen had every thing we needed (herbs, coffee machine with coffee pods, enough plates and glasses) and too much more. No children's plates or cups (all breakages must be paid for). Not enough work space in the kitchen, a filled chest of drawers (very messy with bits of paper, glue, lightbulbs etc). Not very clean overall. There were two ensuite bathrooms and one separate bathroom. No bath, the bathmats were dirty. The showers were warm with good pressure but salty water. The three bedrooms were VERY hot despite the fans. It was 25C outside at night and SO much hotter inside. There were a lot of mosquitos so we had to keep the windows closed at night. The lighting inside was VERY poor. Especially in the bathrooms. The security was also a big concern. The doors did not lock securely. One bedroom did not lock at all! Not safe with children! Hard beds, all single mattresses, thick terry towelling sheets and very soft pillows! The Finca service unexpectedly charged us 20euro for a miscommunication in arrival timings but were helpful in receiving a lost bag from the airline. They did not turn up on our departure so we had to leave Finca keys in the plantpot! Overall we enjoyed our stay but not 5star for us
An oasis of calm. This a well equipped and beautiful villa with excellent access to local services.
Villa de la Calma certainly lives up to its name. We had an extremely relaxing holiday in this beautiful and well equipped villa.
The villa is situated down a country lane with only the sounds of the tinkling bells of neighbouring goats and the breeze of rustling palm trees, in the beautifully laid out pool area, for company.
The villa's rustic style is charming and it is comfortably furnished with well chosen objets d'arts. It is also extremely well equipped for family living - it even has a hairdryer in each of the three bathrooms and a number of different coffee makers!
The pool is a good size for a family and is well kept. It is landscaped attractively with trees around the edge for additional shade - although there are plenty of umbrellas and beds. The terrace has a large table and comfortable chairs and is well sheltered from the breeze - which can get quite strong on Mallorca. There is also a good sized barbecue.
The owners have thought of everything it seems with sprinklers and lights all on a timer. The garden and pool are beautifully lit in the evenings, making evening swimming very enticing. We spent a number of evenings star gazing as the location of the villa gives a good view of the night sky.
Despite its quiet location, the villa is only a few minutes drive from the town of Campos and from a number of large supermarkets. There are good restaurants within a short drive - a very good one (Moli de Vent) only a 3 minute drive away. There are also good beaches within a half hour drive - Llombards is a very pretty cove with clear water, soft sand and snorkelling.
Being only 30 minutes from Palma means that much of what Mallorca has to offer is easily accessible from this Villa. The northeast coast is also only a 40 minute drive away.
Depending on the type of holiday you want, however, it would be possible to have a truly relaxing week here without the use of a car - if you are happy to make use of the bikes to do your shopping.
Alexandra and Urs respond quickly and pleasantly to emails. The Finca service is also very pleasant.
We very much enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this villa.
Fincaurlaub mit allem was zum Erholen notwendig ist
Wir hatten schöne 10 Tage in dieser Finca. Angefangen von dem sehr netten Vermieterkontakt, über den Fincaservice, der uns vor Ort empfing bishin zur kompletten Ausstattung war alles bestens. Ankommen und wohlfühlen heißt hier die Devise und dieses Konzept leben die Besitzer der Finca für ihre Gäste.
Der Pool als Zentrum in einem schön angelegten Natur-Umfeld ist natürlich das Non-plus-Ultra im Sommer, so dass wir diesen auch täglich nutzten, komplettiert durch Liegen, kleine Tische mit Lichtern so dass man auch abends dort noch schöne Stunden verbringen kann.
Die Kinder hatten selbst Spaß daran, sich als Pool-Kescher-Dienst zu beweisen.
Im Haus ist alles sauber und gepflegt, teilweise rustikal ausgestattet so wie es eben von einer Finca der Art erwartet wird.
Es findet sich all das, was am Tag so eben notwendig ist: Kühlschrank, Geschirr, Kaffeemaschine, Kochmöglichkeiten, Gewürze, Kartenspiele, Lesestoff, DVDs usw.
Highlights waren außerdem der Gasgrill zum Kochen außerhalb der Finca und der Partycooler, der unsere Getränke alle immer schön kühl gehalten hat.
Leider gab es allerdings auch negatives zu erleben, wo leider weder die Vermieter noch der Fincaservice helfen können:
in einem der Nachbargrundstücke leben scheins mehrere Hunde, die es zu lieben scheinen zu den unmöglichsten Zeiten und auch nicht nachvollziehbar ein Bell-Konzert einzuläuten. Anfangs noch ok, da man ja schließlich in einem naturbelassenen Umfeld lebt, wurde es zusehends von allen Mitgereisten nur noch als absolut nervig empfunden, was leider weniger der Erholung diente.
Dennoch waren wir sehr gern hier und genossen die Gastfreundschaft, die so nicht immer selbstverständlich ist.
Die Finca ist auch guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf die gesamte Insel.
Supermärkte sind zügig zu erreichen und ein Lidl hat sogar sonntags geöffnet.

Eine wunderbare Finca
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, alles war wunderbar, vielen Dank!
Sehr schöne Finca
Die Finca war wie beschrieben wunderbar! Alles war sehr schön! Ideal auch für die Kinder mit dem Pool und viel Zubehör stande zur Verfügung! Im Nachbargrundstück waren sehr viele Hunde die oft gebellt haben, dass war ein bisschen „nervig“. Als wir ankamen war es spätabends und stockdunkel, das hat uns ziemlich gehindert die Finca zu finden weil Maps die genaue Adresse nicht gefunden hat und es sehr abseits liegt! Aber dank Whatsapp hat uns der Empfangsservice seinen Standort geschickt und wir haben es gefunden!
Als wir hinein gingen waren es ca 40 Grad drinnen. Also es ist immer schön warm drinnen wenn es draußen auch warm ist dank der fehlenden Klimaanlage:) Die Kommunikation vor und nach dem Urlaub mit den Vermietern hat super geklappt! Im gesamten war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub in einer schönen Finca:)
Traumhafte Finca für Ruhesuchende
Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die sehr gut ausgestattete Finca liegt völlig ungestört inmitten schöner Natur. Trotzdem kann man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten selbst per Fahrrad schnell erreichen. Auch die Tennisplätze sind nur ca. 2 km entfernt. Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der näheren Umgebung und auch zu vielen Stränden ist es nicht weit.
