The place and location were great! Really enjoyed our stay. Peter the owner was great.
Another good week for our group on Lake Muskoka. Beds were soo comfortable. Big comfy couches. Dock space perfect for our boat. Free public boat launch close by in Port Carling. Lots of seating about the property. Kids loved the raft to swim to and the kayaks. Also good for small kids as there is a sandy, shallow entry. Dining on the boathouse roof was a highlight as were the campfires. Location is close to Hwy 169- easy access to Bala and Port Carling. Thanks Peter!
Perfectly located gem of a cottage in Muskoka. We enjoyed our 7 nights at this cottage.
Lovely traditional Muskoka Cottage- with upgrades!
A lovely traditional older Muskoka cottage upgraded to make it very functional and comfortable. Lots of space and great beds. A great variety of water equipment all in good condition. Close to both Bala and Port Carling yet on a quiet bay. Peter was very helpful and easily accessible to answer any questions.
Relaxing, well maintained property
Property identical to photos, lot of room, great location, owner checked in to ask if everything was as needed. Thanks
About Peter Brooks
I've been coming to Muskoka since I was 2, and was lucky to buy a cottage near Bala in 1987. I go there every chance I get, and our 3 kids spent their whole summers swimming, canoeing and being outdoors. Over the years we have upgraded just about everything.
Peter Brooks purchased this Cottage in 1987
Why Peter Brooks chose Bala
Lake Muskoka is a little piece of heaven on earth. Not too hard to get to, but a world away from the city. You want to be on one of the 3 big lakes: Muskoka, Rosseau or Joseph. They all connect in the hub of Port Carling, where shops and restaurants have sprung up and become a fun destination themselves.
What makes this Cottage unique
South facing decks and dock, for maximum sun. Privacy on all sides. Level lot, sandy beach, warm water shallow bay.
