Nice and quiet, off the road.
Warm and comfortable, plenty of hot water, in village and near bus stop for Bath.
Fantastic place to stay! Great location!
Our host was extremely nice and friendly. There is an absolutely amazing place to eat down the hill. I highly recommend the Beef and Ail Pie. The bus stop is also within walking distance from the cottage. It's very clean and confortable. Two thumbs up!!
Thanks., you were ideal guests.
A great location to explore Bath and the surrounding countryside. Our hosts were very welcoming. Thank-you Hendrik for your suggestions on local walks and easy access to Bath.
Beautiful cottage, lovely host
The cottage is easy to find and conveniently located. Hendrick was kind enough to invite us to the Farmers’ Market on Saturday, taking the bus to Bath. The bus is convenient and cheap, and driving in Bath would have been a challenge for me. The Crown at the foot of the hill has excellent food, and the Co-op at the top of the hill had great pastries on the weekend. We also recommend Easton Spice for dinner.
It was a great pleasure to be your host, thank you
Lovely studio, very helpful host
Complete kitchen, washing machine, spacious
Peaceful and relaxing
Great place to stay...it was quite and very comfortable with a lovely setting. Easy access to Bath central by bus and the locals were friendly. Great hosts as well. Many thanks, Kate
The village of Bathford is 4 miles east of the centre of the magnificent City of Bath (World Heritage City). There is a direct bus service every 20 minutes. For the energetic, there is a walking or cycling route to Bath along the Kennet and Avon Canal. The village lies in a densely wooded area of the Cotswolds with special scientific interest and outstanding beauty. Country walks start at the doorstep. Local pub serving food within five minutes walk. Local shop and post office. Some nearby attractions include: Longleat House and Safari Park, the picturesque villages of Castle Comb and Lacock, Glastonbury, Badminton, and the Avebury Stone Circles. The City of Bristol, the coast and Wales are just a short drive away. By car or train it takes 2-3 hours to London.
