Get Swept Away in the Magic of our Cloud !
About Diane Haliski
Being a seventh generation native to Niagara-on-the-Lake, & having grown up here, I have experienced the vast changes from a sleepy hollow to a thriving tourist town. One aspect that remains to this day within our village, is the historic beauty... accompanied by the breath-taking geographic location, and the warm, friendly sense of community.
Diane Haliski purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Diane Haliski chose Historic Old Town
Situated on one of the prettiest streets in one of the "Prettiest Towns in Canada", I instantly fell in love with this enchanting cottage.....the dark green woods shading it & the sweet smell of cedar upon entering the front porch. A feeling of peace & tranquility swept over me & I knew I was home.
What makes this Cottage unique
The minute walk to the ever changing lake & magnificent sunsets make the Flying Cloud unique in every season ! Chautauqua was always, & remains to be the "magical" cottage area of town. At the turn of the century it housed the Chautauqua Ampitheatre in the centre hub of it's spoked street design....providing live theatre & entertainment to cottagers, town folk, & tourists throughout the summers.

The "Flying Cloud" is a wonderful retreat and our host Diane made sure every detail was covered. The fireplace and music was great upon our arrival. The location is fantastic in a quaint neighbourhood so close to the lake but also close to the NOTL main street. The cottage is everything that is described and the pictures. It is very well outfitted and there was nothing we couldn't find. Thanks so much Diane for making our stay so relaxing. We will be back in the summer!
GREAT place for Niagara adventure
Flying Cloud is a charming cottage in a terrific location. Diane has thought of everything in making it feel like home away from home. Outstanding visit.
It was so beautiful, relaxing and quiet! It was hard to leave and we will definitely be back!
Lovely house, well equipped, high end finishes and very accommodating owner. Great location to launch our bicycle trips. Short walk to lake. Very private backyard. In summary, a great place for a relaxing get away.
Best find ever!
Diane is the absolute best hostess with the cutest, most convenient nook ever! We will definitely be back!
We felt at home
Is a very cozy place, so romantic, confortable, relaxed... we just felt in love. Thank you Diane.
For sports enthusiasts, rent a bicycle from Zoom and ride the bike trails along the Niagara River. North America's oldest golf course is around the corner . It's a public course and the clubhouse patio has the best view in town. Play tennis at the local courts, rent a paddle board or kayak in Lake Ontario.
There are the annual church/farm festivals: Strawberry Festival at St. Andrews church on the third Saturday in June, the Cherry Festival at St. Mark’s church on the first Saturday in July and the Peach Festival on the second weekend in August. The locals gather at the extremely popular Wednesday night Supper Market. This community event of food trucks and local restaurants serving food, wine, and beer has quickly became a weekly social gathering place for locals and visitors. Pull up a colourful picnic table, bring your own chairs or blanket, listen to a band and watch the kids dance.
