About Isabella Wier
Our family lives in Florida. We were born and raised in Europe and absolutely love the Riviera Maya. We frequently drive all the way south to Costa Maya. Riviera Maya has so many sightseeing opportunites.
Isabella Wier purchased this Condo in 2006
Why Isabella Wier chose Gonzalo Guerrero
We chose the unit at Gaviotas 2 because of the location. It is right in the center of Playa within walking distance to the grocery store, Ave 05 and the beach. This complex has a beautiful, Spanish architecture and is very well maintained. What makes this complex very special is the tropical, large swimming pool which is not a rooftop, like most new developments in Playa. You get to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view and the serenity.
What makes this Condo unique
Playa is one of the best destinations in the world. We had traveled to many places including Europe, USA, Canada, Hawaii and South America. Nothing beats the atmosphere of Playa Del Carmen, the beaches, the sightseeing opportunities and the climate.

It is a pleasure to host guests like you, clean, respectable.
Very comfy, everything you need!
We had a great time! The walk to beach and shopping/restaurants was accurate. Angela, the property manager was excellent and so helpful. The townhouse was very clean, had everything you need to cook any meal. It was very private and safe as well. Definitely recommend and would stay again!
Thank you Kristy for submitting the review. It makes us very happy to know that the condo met your expectations and you had a good time.
Great Place to Stay in Playa del Carmen
This is a clean, spacious apartment convenient to the grocery store and the tourist areas. The apartment is well equipped, with the exception of kitchen pots where there is only a medium sized saucepan and a small Dutch oven. There are sufficient frying pans. If you like to cook, bring an extra pot. The internet service is exceptionally good and the TV gets a good selection of channels. The balcony over looking the pool is a great place to have breakfast. The apartment has a parking space for those who rent a car and is three blocks from the ADO alternate bus terminal for those who come in by bus. It is easy walk to the beach, but the beach has been encroached on by development and is not very impressive. (The beach at Puerto Morelos was nicer and a short bus ride away). The pool was a good size and very refreshing. The book exchange added a nice touch
Make sure you get the cross streets for the apartment location and which of a number of lock boxes has the key.
Isabella, the owner, is extremely responsive and personable
Thank you for posting the review. It is very much appreciated. I am sorry sbout the pots, i did ask the manager and it appears that 2 of them went missing. Because we bring everything from US because of higher quality, they were not replaced immediately but will be. There is no need to bring own pots. Thank you!
Great pool and location. Condo needs a little TLC but has everything you need to enjoy your stay.
Awesome Spot to Stay
We stayed in this condo in Feb/Mar 2019. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & found the condo to be fully equipped and centrally located to everything. It is fully furnished with the same type/style of furniture throughout; this provides a clean and cohesive look to the condo. The dresser in the master bedroom provides ample storage & the closet shelves and night stands give additional room to store your belongings. The kitchen is fully equipped and the frypans are amazing: we wished we had them at home! The only thing we lacked was a kettle and we would have appreciated a larger coffee maker (the 2 cup coffee maker is rather small). The spare bedroom window has no screen so we didn't open it for fear of letting bugs in. There was always a nice breeze coming through the master bedroom balcony door and the ceiling fans kept the condo cool so we didn't need to use the air conditioning very often.
The condo complex has a variety of people staying there. Some are owners; some are long-term renters; and some come and go in a week. The owners work to ensure things are looked after and respond quickly when something goes astray. We had no water twice during our stay. The first time it happened one of the owners quickly contacted the property management about the situation. The water reservoir for the condo had run dry. Thanks to the owners, a water truck arrived later that day to fill up the tank. They also care about the cleanliness of the pool and work with the pool/maintenance man to make sure things are top-notch and looked after. The pool pumps were replaced quickly when they failed to work. Broken pool chairs are fixed and the grounds are well maintained.
We loved the propane BBQ for grilling and used it a lot. We ran out of propane but found a propane refill station close by (gasAuto). We did suggest that an adjustable wrench be available in the condo so when refitting the tank line to the BBQ it can be put on tightly. We had to borrow a wrench from one of the condo owners.
We would also suggest that the two empty clay flower pots from the balconies be removed. These two have no plant life in them and the dirt left in them seems to attract bugs.
We enjoyed the condo so much that we wanted to return next year but because the condo is up for sale, we weren't able to secure a firm booking for next year. We wish Isabella success in the sale of the condo and thank her for being such a responsive hostess.
