About Marynell Christenson

We each grew up in the Midwest, moved to Atlanta and after 30 years retired to Decatur, Alabama. Back to the small town way of living. The gulf coast has always had a magical draw for us. We truly enjoy sharing our condo with guests so they can enjoy the Gulf of Mexico and relax. Many of our guests come back year after year so we must be doing something right.

Why Marynell Christenson chose Okaloosa Island

Pelican Isle is ideal. We like that it is only 7-stories tall and missing the inevitable elevator waits on those 30-floor high-rise condos in Destin. Okaloosa Island is quiet since it has no through traffic. So, you are away from the maddening traffic of Destin and Panama City but still close enough to shop and dine. We enjoy to travel... not only to our vacation home on the gulf coast, but also to many Caribbean islands. Still, we have never found a more beautiful powder, white-sand beach than the one at our own condo. We are into contemporary furnishings and have lavishly decorated this condo. You won't find common beach rental décor here-- no white painted furniture, pelican pictures or coral-painted walls. We do an update of some kind every year and have been told by local realtors that it's likely the most beautifully decorated condo at Pelican Isle.

What makes this Condo unique

Several excellent restaurants exist right on the island and many more can be found in Ft. Walton Beach if you don't want to make the 6 mile trek to Destin. Downtown Ft. Walton is just a couple miles away, which includes a handy Publix supermarket. There's no need to travel far to find good dining. We provide our guests with a listing of restaurants that are sure-fire hits in the area. Our 'Top 3' favorites... Marynell and I especially love Stewby's Seafood Shanty, Clemenza's Italian Cuisine and the Magnolia Grill... all right here in Fort Walton Beach.
