beautiful apartment with old world charm. make sure to bring blow dryer, soap etc.
Great location in an ancient town
Comfortable and well located. Close to lots of charming coastal towns but feels like you are living in a village. Spacious and well equipped. Great outdoor space. But beware of the ringing clock tower.
A True Spanish Gem
We had originally thought based off the photos online that there were at least three bedrooms, but after booking discovered the photos were for separate listings, so be warned if you weren't paying close attention like us. In the end, it didn't matter, there was more than enough space for 6. The patio was lovely. Everything was more perfect than we could have anticipated. If you're looking to escape in a culturally preserved quite town, this is for you. Great for biking as it is relatively close to all the beach towns, mountains and bike paths.
ABit Away from the Costa Brava
We chose this apartment in Palafrugell because of the photographs of the apartment, the terrace, and its location in the center of the old town. All of these things were wonderful, beyond our expectations. What we did not anticipate was that we would be front and center during the vote for Catalonian freedom in early October 2017. Front row seats of a small town demonstration. We also drove to hikes a long the Costa Brava, and appreciated the contrast between contrast between tourist and local venues.
Beautiful property in Palafrugell
Loved everything about the apartment. Spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Great cafe/bar on the ground floor where we enjoyed our coffee every morning. Laura met us there and was very helpful. We had rented a car and parking was available down the street for an extra small fee. Can Felip was a great location for us. We had come from staying in Barcelona and wanted to see the Costa Brava area. We were able to easily drive to see everything we wanted...coastal up to Cadaques (which is amazing! Highly recommend) and inland, Girona and Figueres. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this apartment!!
Extremely comfortable and beautiful apartment well located in the small town of Palafrugall.
From the moment we entered the apartment we fell in love. We were looking for lodgings that had character rather than an annoyomous beach apartment. The location is perfect With bars, restaurants and the market only seconds away. Enric and his team were extremely professional as well as warm and friendly. There is no doubt that we will be visiting next year.
“Can Felip” is located in the centre of vibrant Palafrugell (Girona) a 50 meters from the church and the market. Quiet apartments with nice views. Palafrugell is in the heart of “Baix Empordà” (Costa Brava) only 3km from the magnificent beaches of Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu.
It is a one and a half hour drive north of Barcelona, and 40 minutes from Girona airport. It only takes 45 minutes drive to the French border.
Palafrugell dates back to the 10th C. The old centre still conserves its medieval structure, presided over by the church of St Martí and made up of streets and alleys that form a large shopping centre. The town’s boom period occurred at the end of the 18th C., with the start of production of corks, which is still reflected in the local architecture: the cork factories and the modernist buildings. The Cork Museum gives a full description of this industry.
Golf: Recently the Costa Brava was voted by the IAGTO (International association of international Golf Tour Operators) as the “best emerging golf destination world wide”.
The moderate climate of the zone makes Costa Brava an ideal place for enjoying Golf. There are 2 golf courses in the neighbour town of Pals (Pals Golf Club: with 18 holes, is beside the sea, on dunes covered by an large pine wood and the other course named Golf Serres de Pals). And if you are a beginner, you can start out at one of the many Pitch & Putt courses around Pals.
There are 11 courses all within an hour’s drive of “Can Felip” and “Can Tarongeta”, 4 of which are considered amongst the best in Spain : EMPORDA (5 min. drive), Home to the European Tour Qualifying School , 27 holes, Par 71 and 72. PALS (5 min drive) 18 holes, par 73. PGA CATALUNYA (50 min drive), Ranked in the top ten best golf courses in Europe- 18 holes par 72. GIRONA (40 min drive) 18 holes, Par72.
Others are Perelada, Torremirona, Mas Pages, Gualta, Serres de Pals, Mas Nou (d’Aro) and L’Angel de Lloret.
