Karen was a very responsive host. We had a couple of questions before and after arriving and she was very helpful. The property and setting were beautiful. Unfortunately the weather was spotty which made the getaway feel a bit isolated. There were no games or indoor activities and limited cable access which made the complete lack of internet access more apparent. I would encourage the owners to make a few improvements to enhance future stays: walk through the property after each guest leaves to ensure that the house is ready.; there were no knobs on the laundry room doors. Install a whole house water filter to mitigate the sulphuric smell of the well water. Put together a welcome book that explains the house, local recycling rules, and things to do in the area. Thanks. And finally, the lack of cell phone reception is a safety issue. Had there been a fire we’d have had to walk 5 miles to get help.
Wetmore/pictured rocks National park
Property owner very helpful. Kitchen has great variety of pans, gadgets, plates and bowls. Private, spacious yet cozy, getaway in the beautiful Pictured Rocks National Park area. Cofortable beds.
We had a great time
It's a big and beautiful house. Very clean. Kitchen has everything you might need. Beds are comfortable. Not many places in Upper peninsula have 3 full bathrooms. It was one of the reasons we have chosen this property - we are 3 couples. We wish the house was supplied with extra rolls of toilet paper - (it was one per bathroom) and paper towels. We ran out of it and had to go to store to buy more.
We were very disappointed that dishwasher was broken. The owners left a note that parts are on order. Six people, 3 meals a day - washing dishes by hand was no fun.
The tap water is yellowish and smells funny. So we had to buy drinking and cooking water - not a big deal.
No Wi-Fi is a bigger deal. We are not too yang to remember life without it but we don't want it now.
The house located on a beautiful Powell lake shore, small boat with no motor is included. We used it a few times but had no luck with fish there.
We are a group of friends who spends a week every fall in North Wisconsin or Michigan fishing and mushroom hunting. We where super lucky with mushrooms this year, cot some fish on different lake - overall had a great time.
Will we stay in this house next year? Probably not.
August 2019 Stay in Wetmore
The home was nice, the lake was also nice. We enjoyed the activities in the community and area of Munising. We had all the things we needed in the home and it was very clean.
Without notice, we had one day without power and really no way to get a hold of the owner because of lack of wifi. We also fought with the dishwasher to get it to work properly. Overall, all other items in the home were exactly what we expected and we enjoyed what it had to offer.
Beautiful house on short notice
Logun’s Landing has everything you’ll need for a home base to explore the UP. It’s a beautiful, comfortable home, and you get to look out on Powell Lake every morning. It’s close enough to Munising to be convenient for whatever you want. We spent about a week hiking in Pictured Rocks with side trips to Marquette and Taquamenon Falls. Taquamenon is a bit of a drive, but worth it. It’s all beautiful. Working with Karen was wonderful. This was a last minute trip for us and Karen was able to accommodate us on less than 24 hours notice. She was responsive and very nice throughout our visit. I’d recommend Logun’s Landing to anyone needing a getaway in the UP.
Beautiful yet convenient location!!! Lots of places to sleep!!
We stayed here for a snowmobiling trip. It was great access to trails and close to fuel! There were plenty of places to sleep. The weather was freezing but the house was nice and cozy and there was enough warm water to shower after a long day in the cold!! :) The garage was convenient to pull our sleds into and we had adequate space to park all three trailers!
