*** Please note: There is the possibility of construction on the lot next door. They are non-resident owners, and a non-local contractor. Construction commenced 3 years ago. A new slab has been poured for a 'caretaker cottage' out front of the 3 existing buildings, and apparently forming will begin in March. I will update if I ever find out more, but suffice to say there is the possibility of construction on the lot next door for the next few years.

Zoe's at North Beach is a 3 bedroom house located directly across the road from beautiful North Chesterman Beach. The house has a master bedroom with ensuite on main floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom, a half bathroom downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace in livingroom, hot tub and barbecue on wraparound porch, hot outside shower, surf racks if needed, wireless internet, great reading material, as well as many other amenities.

Wonderful Family Time

All the comforts of home plus more!
Amazing host and location across the street from Chesterman Beach. Surrounded by greenery and flowers. Quiet! Free parking on site, Modern appliances and very good beds and wifi. Host lives in a separate home hidden at the back of the property but always available on the few occasions we had a question. Great hot tub too!&

The best spot in Tofino
Zoe is an amazing host! She knows everything you need to know and very friendly! We enjoyed chatting with her. Also the house is huge. So much space for our family of 5. The very best part in the 2 min walk to north Chesterman from the house doorstep. This was great when getting wet suits on the kids and walking to the beach with the boards. Definitely will stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay in Tofino
This was an awesome place to stay for a few days. Beautiful house in a quiet location across from the North Chesterman beach access. Not on the highway so all we could hear was the ocean and the birds at dawn. Shuttle stops within easy walking distance. Zoe was a wonderful host. She gave us enough information and was happy to answer any questions. We would definitely recommend for up to six adults.

A Great Family Vacation!
We had such a wonderful stay at Zoe’s. It was the perfect vacation rental for our family. The house was very clean and comfortable with large bedrooms. The location couldn’t be better. Idyllic Tofino
Zoe's property was perfect for us on a recent week long trip to Tofino. We needed 3 bedrooms and they were all equally nice so no one felt they got the 'kids' room (we were 4 adults but only 1 couple).The house was exceptionally clean (and we are really picky!!), and very well set up. Beds and linens were very comfortably and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We cooked a number of our meals in house and there was no shortage of anything we required. We especially loved the expansive deck, hot tub and outdoor shower. The location is perfect- steps from Chesterman Beach. We enjoyed being a bit out of the centre of town, but still close enough for a good long walk when we felt like it. Zoë was extremely friendly, helpful and we loved learning more about the history of Tofino and its development. The visit exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

Perfect Tofino Getaway
My wife, 2yr old son and I chose Zoe’s place for a much needed family getaway to relax and unwind, and spend some quality time enjoying ourselves. The house was great, very cozy, spacious and well equipped. A skip and a hop from the beach was the perfect cherry on the top. Far enough away, but close enough to everything Tofino has to offer. We will definitely be back again! Thanks for the amazing hospitality and yummy cookies Zoe!

Favourite beach house
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here with our 3 girls. It feels like a home away from home, on beautiful Chesterman Beach. Miles of beach to walk, consistent surf break, tide pools and amazing sunsets, just across the street, which makes it easy for our family to come and go as we please. The hottub is pristine and after a swim in the Pacific is the absolute best. Zoe is a great host, always welcoming and accommodating. The house is beautifully built with many artistic touches, it was clean, beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked. We miss it already.

Magical forest retreat adjacent to Chesterman Beach
We will be back! This looks like a magical fairy cottage in the pictures but is SO much more in reality. A substantial house, wrap-around deck with hot tub, and spacious bedrooms with uber-comfortable beds. Crisp bed linens, cosy, comfortable chairs; altogether a wholly comfortable experience. Zoe is a lovely host who provides succulent home-made cookies as well as travel and entertainment suggestions without being intrusive. Fully equipped home, indoor fireplace, outdoor firepit, bikes and boards available if you are interested. Quiet location surrounded by lush garden and trees, yet cross the road and a few seconds walk down an access path you'll pop out onto Chesterman Beach, within easy walking distance to the Wickaninnish Inn. Go around the corner and up the lane the other way, cross the Tofino access road and you'll be on the paved bike trail running adjacent the road, with Hotel Zed a couple minute's walk to your right or, a little farther, to your left a complex with a bakery/coffee shop, chocolaterie, bike/surf rentals, small grocery store, and Tacofino. Tofino itself is a short bike ride away; drive, walk or bike there, enjoy the bustle and then return to your forest idyll! Grab a beverage and glimpse the ocean and listen to the surf from the balcony off the front upstairs bedroom.

Tofino near Chesterman Beach
The property was as advertised. The location is beautifully tucked into the trees, with a 2 minute walk to Chesterman Beach. We were welcomed with delicious cookies. Well appointed. It has lovely soft linen and good beds. The hot tub is very clean and hot.

We (parents and adult kids) enjoyed a terrific week at Zoe's place! A lovely house which is very nicely and comfortably furnished and has excellent amenities. The location cannot be beat for access to the nicest beach in Canada. Zoe is great... welcoming, friendly and helpful. We shall return!

Beautiful home steps from North Chesterman
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zoe's. The location is ideal, so close to the beautiful Chesterman beach. The property is lovely and the house is cheerful and cozy. Lot's of room and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need. The wrap around porch and hot tub were also a big plus. Zoe was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely stay at Zoe's again.

Walk to the ocean
A cozy but roomy 3 bedroom home only a one minute walk to Chesterman beach. A full kitchen and BBQ made preparing meals as easy as home, and fresh baked cookies on arrival :) The hot tub was meticulous which was great as I wasn’t sure if I’d even use it when I booked. It’s clear that Zoe cares for this home and she lives directly behind the house just above her shop for easy access but also respected privacy. The city is working on beautiful trail which will make for an easy bike ride to long beach, we did it on the road which I would not recommend with the narrow windy roads. I would stay again, thanks Zoe!

Great Home Away
Zoe’s is the perfect property for a family visit to Tofino. Steps from North Chesterman Beach, which we all voted is ‘the best beach’. The house is large but cozy with lovely beds and linens. We used the hot tub and wood-burning fireplace every day. The weather was great which was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back.

Lovely, relaxing stay
We were two couples and a chocolate lab who spent three nights at this home. Zoe, the owner, lives in a separate building on the site but you have your privacy and her kind assistance and advice when required. The house was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and nice sitting area outside. We did not use the hot tub but it is meticulously maintained. You cannot beat the location of this residence, just across the road and a few yards up from laneway access to Chesterman’s Beach. We had peaceful nights’ sleeps and many early morning and sunset beach walks.

Wonderful house in the VERY quiet hamlet of Tofino. We had a great stay in the well-located, spacious, very clean house with great cookware and well-stocked kitchen, very clean hot tub, thoughtful beach-friendly items like a wet suit and surf board rack and outdoor shower. Great spot, would highly recommend. No complaints!

Having lived on the west coast, and Tofino in particular for most of my life is a testament in itself to the beauty of this temperate rainforest setting and wildness of the westcoast. I have lived through the changes from a population of 600 with an economy based primarily on fishing and logging, to the now permanent and always growing population of about 2000 with the primary industry now being tourism related. And I still love this place I call home! The rapid increase in population was not without growing pains, but with it came a wonderful community of like-minded individuals who all share a love for the beauty of the west coast. Added benefits are the amazing array of incredible restaurants to choose from should you choose to go out to eat. As someone who also loves to travel, I have made sure that from whatever part of the world you come from, the house will also make you feel at home with almost every imaginable need anticipated.

Why they chose this property

I first came to the west coast as a teenager, looking for adventure and fell in love with the incredible beauty of the temperate rainforests and wild pacific open ocean. I lived further up the coast until moving to the 'metropolis' of Tofino when the population was still only about 600. As a young working mother I participated in the (still ongoing) Tofino housing shuffle for years, working and travelling but always returning to home base. After 4 years at University in Vancouver upon graduation I realized that despite the many opportunities afforded to me elsewhere, what I really wanted was a home for my son and I, and finally achieved my dream!
I have now become somewhat spoiled, in that in all my travels I have never found another place that not only matches the diversity and beauty of the area, but also where the surf is as consistent as it is here, and accessible by foot, bicycle, or car all within no more than a 15 minute drive to the furthest spot.
I no longer need a 3 bedroom house, but did need to build a workshop to store my tools, so with a suite above the workshop out back I am now the onsite caretaker for this vacation home, available to assist with any questions or needs that may arise, while still maintaining a discretionary privacy.

What makes this property unique

I love my property for it's close proximity to the beach, with the added bonus of being sheltered from the strong onshore winds in the private back garden.
