Very nice apartment!
Very easy communication
Good neighborhood, really close to the city.
Great way to stay
This was a great way to stay. It was a nice place and really well-designed. Felt like an upgrade from a hotel room.
Location wasn't awesome, but didn't need it to be anything great since we were just in town for a wedding. Easily took ubers anywhere in chicago.
Delightful, comfortable & convenient.
This is a well-managed, comfortable and convenient home away from home in Chicago. Parking was easy, free and available. The unit is very secure. It is in easy walking distance to many restaurants, Walgreens, etc. It is a quick and reasonable drive or Uber ride from downtown, museums and McCormick place.
Great neighborhood. Beautiful apartment. Cheap on towels.
Enjoyed staying in Chicago at this location. Walking distance to many restaurants.
Central to everywhere we needed to be. Lots of nearby Uber drivers for fast pickup.
Great amenities inside of the unit.
Only negative: Sonder went way cheap on the bath towels. They were thin and very short. Only 2 bath towels per bathroom. No extra towels in any of the closets. Towels remained me of gym towels. Not something you would expect in this type of apartment.
Reasonable accomodation in Chicago
the apartment was fairly well located.Furnished very sparsely in an austere fashion. The towels were handkerchief size and quality, there was no flexibility as regards check in time, which in our case ended up in causing a lot of trouble.Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fairly well equipped.lacked a homely atmosphere .There was ample space for two couples.Would grade it about seven out of ten.
We're sorry that you had just an average experience, we really want to every guest to feel comfortable and welcome! The good news is that a lot of these things we've already fixed, we're happy to say we've upgraded our towels finally. We apologize about the lack of early check in, we usually have guests checking in the same day and need time to clean the place. We appreciate the honest feedback, this is kind of stuff that helps us grow and better serve our guests. We hope to host you again!
Nice Apt, Not Really A City View, Noisey Trains
Beautiful apartment. Everything is brand new and updated. Comfortable beds. Nice company to deal with. Awesome that there's a train station about 7 blocks down with easy access to "the loop." Restaurant row is about 5 -10 minute walk down the road. There's a coffee shop, Japanese restaurant and McDonalds within the block. There's a bit of a walk to everything else.
1 king bedroom and the other is a queen. They are NOT 2 king beds like the post says. The 2nd bedroom is a lot smaller but away from where the train runs. You hear the trains run in the larger bedroom with the king bed so we couldn't even keep windows open to catch a breeze. They're rather loud and run by every 5-7 minutes.
The air conditioner unit is VERY loud. You hear the forced air. Internet went down and we had to call for another password.
There's a view of industrial buildings not the Chicago skyline. When you peak your head around the corner of the balcony, then you can see some of the Chicago skyline. While it's nice, having to stand only in the corner to catch the view should've been mentioned. Don't sell people a view and charge a hefty price when there's really not a view.
No convenience stores are nearby. Couldn't walk and get water and snacks, so plan ahead.
Again, it is pretty close to the loop by car or train. It's nice aesthetically. However what was in the post and what we experienced were different. Area is not a happening area, it's being redeveloped at the moment. Feeling like I overpaid for an experience I didn't really get just because the unit is aesthetically nice.
Thanks for the review! Unfortunately for us, some of this is stuff we don't have control over. The trains can be a bit loud, but next time reach out to us beforehand and we'd be so happy to find a place in a quieter neighbourhood!
I'm going to check into the inaccurate bed information, because if there is false information I'd like to correct that, thanks for bringing it up. It may not have been a perfect stay, but we're really glad you had a good time otherwise! We look forward to hosting you again.
