About this property

Nestled amongst the Wombat State Forest & beautiful bush surrounds

This place is perfect for 1 or 2 families wanting a holiday escape, bush walkers / trail runners & other outdoor adventurers or bird watchers and artists seeking peace and quiet. Wood fire to relax by and huge deck with stunning views the house can be enjoyed all year round. Not suitable for big groups wanting to party and make noise as the neighbours will call police.

This house has 5 bedrooms (one currently with a cot only), 2 ensuite bathrooms plus a separate toilet and spa bath, two huge open plan living areas (one with a wood fire and tv/dvd player) so there is plenty of room for everyone to relax in. You will find the kitchen fully equipped with everything we think you might need. There is a microwave and dishwasher to make life simple as well as a washing machine and dryer in the laundry should you need it. The huge pantry will be well stocked of most essentials you are welcome to use also. (Although in this Covid environment this now needs to be limited according to recommendations so ensure you bring what you need)

For families with children we have plenty of toys, books and dvds to entertain them but there is loads for them to enjoy out in the fresh air also.

Wifi is available and it’s good enough for home schooling or working from home. There is no phone reception but you can set your phone to make and receive calls using the wifi. Phone reception is available up on the road or out the back higher up in the bush tracks.

Kangaroos, wombats, rabbits & kookaburras all visit the property with the sounds of nature virtually all you will hear. There are some nice easy walking tracks around the property and out the back gate for young children to enjoy as well as more tracks throughout the State Forest for those who want to go further afield. These are great for trail running and walking.

Family getaway
First impressions were a little disappointing with cobwebs etc around the front door but once inside we settled in very comfortably with plenty of space for 10 of us. Our grandchildren especially appreciated the cupboard full of toys and games.

Peaceful days among the trees
3 generations enjoyed a week and a half of relaxation in this beautiful home nestled in the trees. Well stocked with everything you could need, you can happily stay inside and keep busy in case of rain. Otherwise, enjoy the huge veranda on an assortment of comfy chairs and watch the local birdlife

Enjoyed our stay
We had a relaxing stay in the house. The house is so spacious and fully equipped. I didn’t see/find any Echidna, that’s the only disappointment for me 😂… Caroline provided a very comprehensive information before we arrived. She was very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Thank you so much Caroline.
