About Ted Dreier
Breckenridge has been our home since 1986, when I left the corporate life of Dallas, as a public speaker. It was in 1994 that, after living in a condo for 8 year, my wife and I built duplex three blocks off of main street. I was the general contractor and hired a lot of Mennonite craftsman from Kansas. We now spend our winters in Franklin, TN -- outside of Nashville -- with the three young grandsons and family. So, while we are gone in the winter we rent out home out to you skiers We were married in 1960 -- have two sons. One in Franklin TN with wife and three kids and other outside of Atlanta, wife and two older grandkids. My wife is a painter, organist pianist, quilter We spent three years teaching in central Africa-- Malaw. In 1987-- after moving to Breckenridge in 1986, I wrote a book -- Take Your LIfe Off Hold -- which was about people leaving the corporate rat race and going for their dreams. Had over 300 radio/TV/newspaper interviews on the book. Now my days .as founder, are spent working with Moozie the cow who is the ambassador of kindness for the Children's Kindness Network, (CKN) a nonprofit organization that we started back in 1998 -after discovering that a robotic talking cow I built-- as a garage project--was loved by children and they listened when Moozie talked about kindness. CKN's mission is to stop bullying before it begins by teaching kindness values to young pre-K children. You can learn about Moozie and the Children's Kindness Network by going to www.childrenskindnessnetwork.org And to our renters, we say thanks for renting our place for your rental income has a financial impact on CKN And if you would like to know more about CKN and Moozie, And if you have heard about Moozie in your community, for fun-- drop me a line. firstname.lastname@example.org
Ted Dreier purchased this Townhome in 1994
Why Ted Dreier chose Historic District
We have this rental here because our residence is in Breckenridge and we leave during the winter to be with young grandchildren in Franklin, TN. All grandparents can understand that. We love the beauty of Breckenridge and that it is a real town with real people. We have lived in Breckenridge since 1986 and in our home since 1994.
What makes this Townhome unique
Besides staying in a "welcoming" home, people love the fact we are in town and saves a lot of frustration with parking issues downtown-- and cost. You will be staying in our HOME It has upgrades on all amenities since it is not simply a rental. The most common comment we get from renters is that they can't believe that we rent our a home this nice. And we have been very fortunate for the people renting it appreciate the fact that it is special and they have taken care of it-- so it is a win/win. In addition to a very welcoming living room, in the lower level is our family room with a new 65 Inch Samsung flat screen TV, plus two wonderful embracing recline chairs Additionally, there is a large common area right in front of the picture window. This allows the kids to play in the snow outside as parents and grandparents sit in front of the fire inside the house watching them. There are small slopes which kids can slide down with plastic sleds. We are right in town so it is easy to go out to shop, eat and the gondola is only a six minute walk. And for what is it worth -- you are staying in Moozie's home -- some kids love that fact. And we work with a ski rental place on the way to the gondola which gives out guests special discounts-- and has given great service-- per feedback from renters.

Excellent house for a ski vacation at Breck!
Ted, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home. It was warm, close to in-town and perfect location for skiing at Breck. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a house in the area to consider your house.
Excellent location, warm, comfortable and lots of little extras
It was great - everyone enjoyed this well-appointed home. Especially nice to have all the "comforts of home" like spices, baking stuff and much more in the kitchen. We didn't use much but nice to know it was there if we needed it. Also, the "home operations guide" book was helpful, and great to know tap water was good to drink. Thanks again!
House was in great condition, easy walk downtown and accommodated 10 guests with room to spare. Would stay again if I made another trip out to Breckenridge.
Our entire family rates it a 10 in all phases.
It offered everything we were looking for including the location to bus and main street. We all would return and also recommend to any and all looking for something that sleeps at least 12.
Great House Great Location
Can't beat a two block walk to Main St and a block or two more to the Gondola! We stayed with a group of 5, and this house was perfect. The bedrooms are on multiple levels affording extra privacy, and baths for each. The owner was very helpful and made himself available for help (which we didn't need - but it can be useful to those new to Breck or Summit County). We will definitely consider this house again for a larger group.
In contacting the renter, who was very nice, why he only gave us 4 stars instead of 5, it was because the lower level was cool for one of the guests. Having checked into for the lower level is heated by a hot water system which is being checked into to see is someone changed the thermostat setting. Also, the renter was not aware that they could have opened up furnace vents coming in from another system which would have taken care of problem. The renter apologized for not letting me know so I could have corrected it immediately.
Great home near main street
The home was well prepared for our stay. Easily accessible and walking distance to main street and the gondola to take us up the mountain. The owner even called to make sure we didn't need anything. Will definitely stay here again if we bring another large group.
Our house has a large outside common area where children can safely play, slide down inclines in plastic sleds-- and parents/grandparents can sit in the warmth of our house and look out the windows as the children play.
If you go to concerts or plays, it is an easy walk therefore, you don't have to search for a place to part,
