What makes this House unique
The location of the Pine River Vacation Rental is surrounded by state and federal public land. Things to do 'out-the-back-door' would include: paddling, fishing, swimming, hiking (or) x-country skiing the marked and maintained trail nearby, snowmobiling, hunting, outdoor grilling and picnicking next to the river, and relaxing on the spacious deck(s). Up the road a 1/2 mile is the snowmobile and ORV trail system. Eight miles north is Caberfae Peaks Ski & Golf Resort. 55 miles north is Traverse city, 45 miles west is Lake Michigan.

Great Fishing Rental
Beautiful setting. Love the Pine River next to it. House is very well set up and comfortable. No wi fi or cell tower service makes it quite difficult. No A/C....and it was hot this year made it difficult to sleep.
Thank you for your comments and suggestions. There are some drawbacks to being located in a river valley and that is that there is not good cell reception! As for the A/C and wi fi that is something I could consider. Thank you again for taking the time to comment.
Pine River views
This was our second stay at the property near Luther, MI. The Pine R. flows by just a short 10 feet or so from the large deck, and wildlife, such as Humming Birds, a Groundhog, and deer share the wooded setting. An abundance of small insect eating birds helps to make sitting on the deck more pleasurable, and they are entertaining. We saw many folks floating by on tubes, rafts and kayaks. The home is very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything we need for meal prep. The owner, Valerie has been friendly, and responsive. We would definitely recommend this property and would return to it in the future.
Great retreat to kayak and fish.
This is a great retreat to kayak and fish on the pine river. My wife and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary.... left the kids at home, but there would have been plenty of room for 6. We were selfish.
Beautiful and peaceful home and location
Valerie’s Pine River vacation home was delightful. We very much enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing as the Pine River flowed by. It was mostly very quiet while we were there, and we only a saw a few groups of tubers. We have canoed and kayaked on the Pine many times in the past, so this brought back some pleasant memories. The home is comfortable and beautiful, and we found everything we needed was available. The location is truly stunning and very private. We’ve already booked our next stay.
Beautiful and without cell service it was easy to disconnect! Thank you!!!
Great Accommodation, Amazing Location, Perfect Host
The house was immaculately clean, well furnished, and ideally located on the Pine River. Everything we needed, plus extra, was in the house. Val was available if we had had any issues and was prompt in communicating.
We kayaked everyday. Sometimes we ended at the house, once we began at the house. We also hit other rivers in the area. We also biked and hiked a little.
We enjoyed the absence of cell signal at the house as it helped us shift out of our normal routine. And when we needed the Internet we could just bike (or drive) down the road (and up the hill) a half mile.
Snowmobilers, ORV'ers, and Dirt Bikers will appreciate the out-the-door access to the Lincoln Hills Trail System located just 1/2-mile north of this home. This trail links up to other trails which travel through the following counties: Lake, Wexford, and Osceola.
