Casa Bella is a remarkable property in a spectacular location, it’s decoration and gardens are very beautiful.
Thank you Scott.
Casa Bella is exactly that, a beautiful house.
Aside from a very cold first day, our stay was perfect. Margarita, the house manager/cook/everything made our stay outstanding. We’ll be back.
We loved our stay here. Just a short walk to the main plaza with lots of nice restaurants and shops along the way. On the way back to the house there was definitely a steep hill at the end but we liked the challenge and never called a taxi to get back. The house was traditional Mexican colonial and was filled with original art that was great to come home to after our trips into town. We loved it so much that we contacted a local realtor and looked at similar properties!
Margarita was wonderful and helped us settle in and she cooked breakfast for us during our stay. She showed my sister in law how to make chiliquiles.
I chose this based on the fact that we could have breakfast everyday and also that it had air conditioning. These two things were essential for one of the people in our party. We also needed to be within walking distance of everything since we didn’t want to have a car or take taxis everywhere. This house ended up being so much more than just the essentials and we were so happy with the choice.
Amazing house in perfect neighborhood
Beautiful home with amazing art - walked everywhere. Marguerita was lovely and we can’t wait to return!!
We love to have guests return and hope you are one of them. I will let Margarita know of your compliment .Thank you,
Just a great place with a great manager
Get views, great aesthetics, the manager cooked great breakfasts.
Margarita has worked there 18 years - knows her stuff. The only down side is no parking on site - I knew that but had stay in SMA a few times before and we had a 7 passenger monster - there were 6 of us.
But it worked out for 150 pesos/day about 5 minute walk.
Quiet neighborhood, really good beds - 2 couples and fantastic value.
A bit of a walk uphill for one of our group - we are all in our early 70s - would take this again.
San Miguel de Allende, 2019
Stunning house set high above a charming town. With its plant-filled gardens and terraces, roof-top views of the city, and interesting furnishings, the temptation is great to stay in the house instead of exploring the city. Force yourself to leave. Margarita’s friendliness will help. She can answer any question you might have about the town and call a taxi when you need one - likely in this hilly town. In addition to which, she’s an exceptional cook. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the house and the people who care for it.
