The Lazy Moose Cabin is located in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest on Moose Lake in Hayward Wisconsin.
Here you will find yourself embraced by the beautiful wilderness of the Chequamegon National Forest. Get back to nature and leave the hustle of everyday life behind. There is a whole host of outdoor activities waiting at your doorstep here in Northwestern Wisconsin.
Enjoy 200 feet of wilderness shoreline - ALL ALONE! Throw a line off our private dock or rent a fishing boat and fish a Class A Musky Lake for muskie, panfish, walleye or smallmouth. In the winter, the shoreline provides direct access to over 500 miles of beautiful snowmobile trails. A public landing is available just across the lake, at Louie's Landing, for a $5 donation.
Moose Lake is the perfect lake for a quick ski in the main lake or a nice swim to cool off on those hot summer days. The view from our deck is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. You'll want to stretch out for an afternoon nap or have that sunny afternoon barbecue.

We love moose lake. It was very private and everything we needed was available. Except the fishing was not so good.

Lifelong memories at a great cabin
This comfortable house is only a few steps to one of the best lakes in northern Wisconsin. Spent the week fishing and swimming right off the dock and enjoying evening fires at the firepit only a few feet from the lake as well. The house fit 4 adults, 1 child , and 2 dogs very comfortably and was very clean. I cant imagine any complaints with this rental and will recommend it highly to anyone looking for a great northern getaway and the hosts were immediately available with answers to my questions. Many great memories with my daughters, granddaughter, and son inlaw were made this week at this cabin, big thanks to the hosts for putting together the perfect rental on the water!
