Private House with 5 Bedroom Suits (and 4 king size beds!)
Why Owner chose Peak 8
It's amazing how much more often we see our adult children and their families when we own a house in Breckenridge! :) We wanted a house large enough for family gatherings with our kids and grandkids! We have already made countless memories together in the mountain house and look forward to so many more. We are happy to share our home with other families making memories.
What makes this House unique
With 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens, we love the ability for the kids to have their own space. The bedrooms also offer quiet and privacy being on opposite ends of the house.

Peak 8 Haven
I rented the property for my husbands 40th birthday surprise ski weekend. We were 4 couples and each couple had a master with king bed and private en suite bathroom - 3 of which had fireplaces in the rooms. It was perfect. The cabin is gorgeous, views are amazing, we especially loved the upstairs living area and fireplace - couches were very comfortable, space was inviting, kitchen was ample and well stocked. Two separate mud rooms. Short walk to free shuttle or easy drive to base for skiers. We loved it so much we are returning next year with the kids. Highly recommend the property.
Another great trip to Colorado
It was a quick get away for our 3 families from the Midwest. Location to the mountain was important as well as the amenities of the house. This house has it all. It was perfect for 6 adults and 8 kiddos. Plenty of room to sleep, prepare large family meals and relax. The house is stocked with all of the supplies you will need. We would welcome the opportunity to stay here again!
Amazing stay, long walk to the slopes
Family & friends ski trip in Jan 2020! The chalet is amazing and well stocked! I wish that I knew that there was going to be so many spices and seasoning available! We bought sugar, flour, salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning, rosemary, etc. Of course most of ours remained sealed and we left it for the next group. There were sufficient amounts of detergent, softener, toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels! Of course I recommend buying your own dish soap, detergent, etc just in case! There were enough towels for our group as well as blankets. The washer seemed okay, the dryer could use an update as clothes took 2 full cycles to dry (not overloaded, lint tray cleaned). Mud room was a plus, as was the garage space! This was helpful for all of our snow gear as it was secured in the garage. The wifi is very weak and basically crashes when everyone is home. No one can connect... Unless it's 6am in the morning... The two kitchens are amazing and I can see how it'd be useful (fully stocked with cups, plates, bowls, mixing bowls, pans, pizza pans, crock pot, etc) on both floors, however, we only used 1 kitchen so all our food items remained on the same floor. The 2nd fridge came in handy for our drinks and meats. Beds were comfortable, rooms and bathrooms clean, always enough hot water (huge plus!), hot tub worked fine (though it obky got to 95F, though it might have been user error...). Responses within 24 hours.
The drive was decent. No crazy up/downhill paths although I recommend 4WD.
Less than 10 minute drive to town. The shuttle stop is a close 5 minute walk, but it took over 20 mins to pick up our group. Walking a long 13 mins with your snow gear to the base of peak 8 was a bit of a hassle but better than waiting for the shuttle. Most days we had someone drop us off (4 min drive) at a convenient lot for loading/unloading passengers.
Even if you're a great skier, I do not consider this a ski-in rental.
Overall, great space for families or groups! I personally prefer a ski in/out for the rate we paid, but it was Jan 2 x 5 nights so there weren't as many options. But you can't go wrong with this home!! We enjoyed every minute of our time.
Fabulous Family Christmas
This. Home. It was more than we could have imagined and the photos were absolutely representative of this beautiful property! Nestled at the end of an idyllic snowy tree lined lane we found a lovely incredible lodge that perfectly suited our family of 9 adults and two littles. Close to Peak 8 by shuttle or easy to make a two minute trip by car, it was ideal for our skiers and our folks who preferred to sit by the fire or explore the town. This house has everything you would need: plenty of cookware, dishes, towels, paper goods, spices, dish and laundry soap, shampoo and body wash! The appliances were in excellent condition and the home was beautifully furnished on each floor! Good beds and plenty of space for every age. Great hot tub and pool table! We enjoyed cooking and eating and took advantage of the plethora of games and movies we found. I wouldn’t change a single thing other than extending our stay a little longer! Telly the property manager was wonderful to work with and the owner answered all my questions so timely. It was a dream Christmas vacation for us that we won’t soon forget. We even saw Santa and Mrs Claus on Christmas Eve skiing and it snowed on the 25th! The owner put up a gorgeous tree and lights which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for a spacious beautiful home for a family gathering, look no further. This is your address!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home. It will always be one of our favorite memories.
Thanksgiving at Peak 8
The property was clean, well appointed, and well stocked. There were 9 of us and so it was very spacious. Hot tub a nice touch. Great access to Peak 8. We either took the shuttle, or walked to Peak 8. Easy drive to Main Street Breckinridge. Would definitely rent again.
2019 Spring Break Ski Adventure
We had a great time staying at this home. We had 4 families, totaling 13 people. The space was very accommodating. We didn’t feel like we were invading each other’s space. The two kitchens were awesome. We had family iron chef cook offs. We had a blast. The snow was awesome with record breaking amounts. Parking was a little tricky with all the snow. There wasn’t much space left. We had to back our 4-wheel drive trucks down the lane to avoid getting stuck. I recommend 4-wheel drive for sure. I recommend Ski Butlers for all your rental needs. No lines, they deliver! It was quite a hike to catch the shuttle bus. We had to scale a 4 foot drift to walk the sidewalk, otherwise we would have been in traffic. We did ski down Northwoods Lane on our return home! I did mention record breaking snow, right! Thank you for sharing your home!
