What a home!!
UJ was so great to deal with and the staff at house cooks great meals and takes care of everything for you! This is a beautiful home with everything you will ever need or want for a great stay in Punta Mita!!
Wow, this is an awesome place. UJ was in constant contact via text, calls, and VRBO to make our vacation perfect. He coordinated everything for our arrival, to include shopping lists, menus, and airport transportation. He was very responsive with any questions or concerns. The house is simply incredible. The staff were always on hand to help with anything. Meals were outstanding, very authentic, and simply perfect. Delia, Rafael, and company were so helpful and always eager to help. The 2 provided golf carts were great for getting around the Punta Mita complex. Just a few bits of advice: 1. Plan your meals and drinks in advance. We did a pretty decent job of this and it helped. We did a mixture of meals in the house and on the town. 2. The different beach clubs, facilities, and resorts in the Punta Mita complex have varying policies about what you can access. If you're going to visit a bar or restaurant in the 4 Seasons or St Regis, call to make a reservation, even for drinks. Don't just show up. The 4 seasons especially was very stiff (basically over the top rude) about allowing us to walk thru to get a drink. The St Regis is more relaxed and their resort is nicer. Some of the places we thought we had access to (like the PM fitness room by the tennis courts) charge crazy fees to use their facilities. 3. Carry your PM access cards, you'll be asked for them everywhere (got annoying after a while). 4. It really helps to speak Spanish, both with the house staff and everywhere else. Great chance to learn! 5. Bring cash to pay gratuities, etc. There are ATM's in the 4 seasons and St Regis. 6. The running/walking paths are awesome, just look for the maps all over the complex. Overall we loved this place. It was perfect for our 5(!) couples. Thanks again UJ and company!
Great family vacation with minor issues
The house (and amazing pool) and location were great! The ladies who took care of the house and made delicious meals were wonderful. It made it so nice not to have to worry about cooking and cleaning! The “concierge” was nice but he didn’t help make reservations or do anything that a concierge would normally do. We made our own reservations and had to rely on Google to get info on the area as he didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Also, the staff speaks zero English. Thankfully, my husband speaks fluent Spanish or we would have had to use a translation app. The only other thing that was an issue for our group were the beds - they were very hard compared to what we are used to. That may just be a preference though. Also, the “crib” is just a pack n play that has a crib mattress stuffed into it. The mattress was a little too big for the pack n play so it curled up on the sides. My 22 month old still seemed to sleep well despite this but I was very close to ordering a crib from babyvallarta.com the day we arrived. Just something to keep in mind. Also, there are stairs everywhere - almost every room has a step or two up or down into the room so this would be difficult with a child who is just learning to walk...wasn’t really an issue for us. other than that our group of 10 (5 adults and 5 kids
ages 2-12) had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the house and especially the pool! The owner UJ was really responsive with any questions we had. I definitely recommend this property!
Luxury stay with amazing staff and cook!
We were blessed with beautiful weather, a beautiful villa, and an amazing, attentive (but unobtrusive) staff. The owner was consistently gracious, and provided us with tips of local restaurants in the village of Punta de Mita as well as those “behind the gates” at the resorts, access to the Four Seasons Resident Concierges, premier golf access, tips on negotiating the holiday season, and referrals for fishing and snorlkling. Grocery shopping was done for us and breakfast and lunch was cooked to order for items and times every day that we were at the villa (helpful with early bird parents and late sleeping teenagers). Fish we caught was turned into filets, fish tacos and ceviche. We woke to whales spouting and breaching off of the upper and pool balconies every morning, amazing huevos rancheros, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juices, pancakes, bacon, etc. The 2 large golf carts with lockable trunks were great for heading out to restaurants and resident beach clubs for access to the ocean and exploring. However, the villa’s pool and hot tub were amazing with sunrise to sunset views up and down the coast. The bedrooms and common spaces were tastefully decorated and comfortable with en suite bathrooms, lots of storage, individual climate control, and ceiling fans. Cable TV from Canada allowed for watching both British soccer and US sports over the Christmas week. The home was spotless and mosquito-free. It’s indoor-outdoor flow allowed for many spaces to sun, read, dine, play cards, watch movies, etc.
We would stay again in a heartbeat. Many thanks to UJ for being an impeccable and responsive host!
Relaxing, Beautiful and The Cook is AMAZING!
Casa Alamanda was great fun for the whole family. Lira and I had our 4 kids, spouses and 4 grandkids! We were in the pool everyday when we were not at the beach. The ladies that came in every morning were delightful and kept the house spotless and made the most amazing fresh breakfast and lunch every day. We had them stay two nights and make dinner. All in all it was like staying at the Ritz but our own place!
This place is a dream! And the staff and people that come with it make it that much more of a dream. One of the easiest most fullfilling vacations our family has has!
