Upon arrival the home had not been clean for our stay. A few quick phone calls and the home owner was able to get the cleaning crew out for immediate cleaning. The home owner apologized for the inconvenience and in the end our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend this home to other even with the hiccup at the beginning of our stay.

Perfect family getaway-close to Lake Cushman
Thank you to the property owners for a fantastic week. This was our first visit to Washington State. When we arrived the check in was seamless and the property spic and span. Our teenage and adult children made themselves right at home. This property suited our family well and was conveniently located. The view is serene and we felt so relaxed! We had a private room with a very comfortable bed. Our kids stayed in the three beds in the loft and appreciated having a little space from us. We had 6 of us and the home managed us nicely. We appreciated the book with maps and access to Lake Cushman private beaches. The lake is amazingly clear with a long floating dock and swimming raft to sun yourself on if you swim. I would recommend renting or bringing your own kayaks, canoes, etc. We were able to use their chairs and floatie but would have enjoyed the lake even more with our own kayaks. The lake seems to get really busy on the weekends, but during the week in July it was fairly quiet. Web access: There is minimal if any data available for our phones. There was not wireless service which is reflected in the value price for this rental. We purposely chose no wifi so our kids would interact with us. The games and movies that were available were perfect. There were multiple tvs for different interests. We enjoyed playing board games for several hours in the evening. I would not recommend this for a business/work vacation visit without checking if your internet service is ideal at this location. Since this is on the golf course, there are golf carts passing periodically. They don't ever look at us, but it was fun to watch them! The deck is pleasant to sit out on. I only rated a 4 for cleanliness due to a few cobwebs and bird droppings on the window but everything else was perfect. I would love to stay here again for a family vacation! Side note: I broke a dish accidentally and the host was so generous and kind when I called about it. Heads up if visiting the Olympic National Park for the first time. This took longer than we expected to get to the park. The Hoh Rainforest is about 4 hours from this property location one way. There is a rain forest on the south park entrance as an alternative. We did go the Tide Pools at Tongue Pointe which were amazing, 2 hours away. It's essential to check the tide tables prior. We also visited Sol du Loc area and recommend it. Going to the state parks and enjoying the canal close to the site were perfect.

Comfortable Lodging in a Beautiful Location
Awesome host! Dana was easy to reach and really nice. Be aware that "unplugged" in the description means completely unplugged. No wifi, no (or very little) cell service. The lake cafe has wifi and so does hoodsport coffee. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen was well stocked there's even an ice maker in the freezer. Tons of games to play and DVDs. The town is cute but eating after 7pm is chancey. The Mexican restaurant is really good as is hoodsport coffee's I Ice cream. We did the Staircase part of OPNP it was gorgeous! Also rented kayaks at Hoodsport Wellness and went to Kokanee falls. Would definitely recommend!

Cutest cabin
We loved our stay here. Was a little different being right on a golf course but was so close to all the hiking trails. The beds were really comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. I didn't like that we had to take the trash with us since we spent 4 nights. They had a lot of movies which was nice for the kids. Plenty of games. No cell phone or wifi service. Overall, was a great stay.
