About John and Rosemary Williams-Hall
This beautiful Villa was finished in October 2015. My family came to visit in the year 1990 and ended up staying on boats in the Harbour and cruising all the islands. My mother in law Granny Goose sailed single handed until she was in her mid 80's. When she slowed down other family members started buying homes on this very special island. I arrived in 2000 and bought a small home at the beginning of the island in the Shipyard area. It is over a 100 years old and I lived there for many years watching the boats move in and out. A few years later my husband and I bought a larger home at the west end of the island. We just love the peacefulness and serenity of this family island with the healing waters so clear and inviting to swim every day and eat some wonderful fresh fish. Fish can be purchased from Ronald's Seafood near the Service Center or from Bernard at his dock near the bridge crossing to Russell Island. As long as you don't eat too many fried conch fritters this is as healthy a living as it gets. Paradise !!!

Why John and Rosemary Williams-Hall chose Spanish Wells
I loved the location of this property because of its quietness and seclusion. Located at the end of the street and near the church it couldn't be more private. It is within walking distance to the grocery store and gym, the bank and doctors offices. Doctors come once a week from Nassau, however there is a clinic with an experienced nurse and doctor practitioner across the street. There is a basketball court on the church grounds where pickup games are available, and a tennis court on adjourning Russell Island.

This is the perfect location on Spanish Wells. The pictures are only a hint of how beautiful it is. The beach is beautiful and clean and very few people when we were there. I walked the length of Spanish Wells on the north side and this property has the best views and best beach and water anywhere.
The house was perfect for our six adults and five teens. The top floor for the teens was perfect for them. Everyone found the rooms and baths very comfortable. I highly recommend this property for a large group. The paddle boards and kayaks were all utilized. The wrap around porches were perfect to watch the sunrise/sunset, or just to enjoy the view of the ocean. The property manager, Sacha was very helpful and fulfilled our every need in a very timely manner. She was there to welcome us at the dock as well as delivering us back there at the end of our stay. She provided us with many helpful hints about where to go and how to get there.
We would all like to return.
Beautiful and ultimate relaxing vacation
Paradiso Oasis is completely perfect and idyllic for a family vacation, especially with young children. Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas with walkable sandbars extending for what seems like a mile, and quiet, lapping surf, our group of 7 adults and 3 children (under the age of 4) spent hours playing on the beach and in the water for one of the most relaxing and lovely vacations imaginable. Walking along the beach to the point of Spanish Wells is a stunning walk and in the shallow waters at low tide, you will stumble on conch, sand dollars and swimming sea turtles. The house is well designed, nicely decorated, with easy open space on the first floor, well-appointed kitchen, large bathrooms, ample bed and sleeping areas and lovely porches. There was every imaginable beach toy in the garage (kayaks, paddle board, inner tubes) and comfortable beach chairs and chaise longues.
The property manager, Sacha, was incredible. Sacha is a lovely person who was enormously helpful and looked after us beautifully, arranging golf carts with the local vendor, organizing restaurant reservations and helping organize trips to Harbor Island, other excursions and return trip arrangements. Before arrival, we received a long email from Sacha with all the information we could possibly want about the island (grocery stores, taxi and ferry service, restaurants and more) and Sacha stocked with house with groceries before our arrival. Throughout our stay, Sacha was available a text away for any request which was very reassuring.
Spanish Wells is a unique community in the Bahamas, very safe, friendly and casual. We found the local folks to be genuinely welcoming and helpful and we were especially pleased to find the local fishermen who supplied us with fresh fish and spiny lobsters for the evenings we had dinner at the house. Look for Bernard's Fish Dock just before the Russel Island bridge and call the number on his sign to arrange to meet him after 3pm when he returns from fishing.
We would most definitely return to Paradiso Oasis.
Perfect spacious home for a big group!
Always love staying at the Paradiso Oasis! We have stayed here in large groups twice now and its even better than ever with Sacha managing the home and making sure that everything was perfect for our stay. The home is located on the most beautiful part of the beach, lost of chairs and activities to make beach days the best days! The house has everything you could ever need for a vacation with lots of room for everyone! We can't wait to come back!
Love Spanish Wells
This was our second time to stay, and we had such a wonderful vacation. The home was a perfect size for our family with plenty of bedrooms, and right on the beach. We love it!
Best vacation ever!
Our group of 11 stayed at Paradiso Oasis from 6/29-7/6/19. Our group ranged from age 8- age 52 and each and everyone of us felt that this was the best vacation that we had ever been on. The property is just as advertised (even better I think since pictures truly can not do justice to the beauty of the surrounding waters). Plenty of space for our group, clean and plenty of everything we needed (lots of towels, bed linens, floats, kitchen very well stocked with essentials). Spanish Wells is such a quaint island, not touristy at all and felt right at home. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. We had 2 amazing days out on the water which were probably the highlights of the trip. We booked a full day charter with Underwood Charters (Theron was our captain and was awesome) and another half day with Paulies charters (captain Paulie was super nice and a great guide). We swam with sea turtles, saw stingrays, snorkeled, collected conch shells, saw dolphins, went to sanddollar beach, caught starfish, ate lunch on remote beach, visited preachers cave, swam with pigs, went to a cove with cool rope swing into water (kids loved this), and so many beautiful sights to see. We ate out every night except one night we cooked up fish that we bought from Bernie's dock near russell island bridge. Plenty of restaurants for dining (Wreckers, Sandbar, Shipyard, Buddhas) and grocery store (Food fair) was so convenient and much better stocked that I had expected. Prices high but not too bad actually. Golf carts to get around is a must (harbourside rentals) and Pinders ferry and taxi took us from Eleuthera to Spanish Wells and back- this was so convenient and reliable. We flew from Nassau to Eleuthera on Pineapple Air ( be very early for your flight, they don't wait for you and very often leave earlier than scheduled). Paradiso Oasis was in our opinion the best house on the island for our group and our needs. We are hoping to go back next summer and many more summers after that. Rosemary was super helpful leading up to the trip and once we were there, Sasha and Nick, were just a phone call away for anything we needed or just to get questions answered about the island. Great experience all around.
The house is located in a secluded location on the island of Spanish Wells. Spanish Wells is just a short boat ride from Gene's Bay, North Eleuthera, and Gene's Bay is a short 10 minute ride from the airport The house is right on the pink sand beach, with clear waters perfect for swimming and enjoying the sun. The house boasts wrap around porches on all three levels, with an amazing view of the sunrise and sunset on all floors. From the third floor, you can view the beautiful island and surrounding islands to the East, West, and South, as well as the deep blue Caribbean Ocean to the North.
This island is home to the famous Bone Fishing beach of the Bahamas, as well as many other water activities including kite boarding, paddle boarding, and kayaking. Scuba diving, hookah diving, deep sea fishing, free diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, and spearing are among the many activities to take part of on this island. The Queens Baths are located on Eleuthera near the Glass Window bridge. They are natural pools of water created by the surf in the rocks, very beautiful.
There are 4 or 5 restaurants with happy hour on the island, and at the Yacht Haven Marina there is wonderful Wreckers Restaurant and bar. There are also smaller restaurants on the island, including easy-going snack spots. Internet is available at some of these locations.
In addition, the supermarket has deliveries every Wednesday when the shelves are stocked for Thursday shopping and stocking up for the weekend.
Preachers Cave sits on the main island of Eleuthera where the original travelers were shipwrecked on Devils Backbone and lived in the cave until they discovered the fresh water wells on Spanish Wells. Bicycles will take you there, and you can also swim in the Blue hole which is across the road and stunningly beautiful, a must see !!
