Wonderful house, amazing pool! Equals lets go back!!
We loved this place! The house is lovely and super clean, really enjoyed the comfortable beds. The pool is beyond wonderful, we had great hot weather and the pool was such a feature, we spent hours cooling off and relaxing. Lizards, horses, chipmunks and lots of birds to watch, and the house is up high on the hill, the views were beautiful. We are already talking about coming back! Thanks for the great stay, we had such an excellent time.
Great view, everything was in good working order, property was well stocked, owner is easy to work w
I rented this property for 6 weeks while working on a project in the area. The view is amazing. The property is comfortable and quiet. All the appliances are in good working order. The bathroom, laundry, and kitchen are all very well stocked. James is very easy to get a hold of and work with. Much better than living in a hotel and the price is very reasonable.
I'll add one thing. The nearest decent grocery store is all the way in Yakima so go shopping before going up there.
relaxing and clean
Nice and quiet home on acreage with a nice private pool. Enjoyed a nice time with family.
Beware, the ad states the house sleeps 4 people, but when you actually book it for 4 people he will charge you an additional occupant fee of $200. This took me by surprise and the owner was unwilling to rectify this for me. For this reason alone, I will not rent from this owner again. I felt it was deceptive and not clearly stated in the initial ad.
A great Fathers Day weekend!
We love the home! The views were wonderful, it was clean and well stocked. 2 reasons I don't give it a full 5 stars. One is the driveway was a challenge to find, maps took me to a different house. It would be nice to have a larger or more colorful address sign on the post up top. It sits back off the road and looks like it's an orchard road for the home next to it. My wife forgot a hair dryer and that would be nice to have on site. Power went out 2 times lol, I'm totally fine with that though. Other then that I would definitely come back. Make sure you wake up early for the sunrises. The Quail and prairie dogs were wandering around the back yard too. We drove our 2 Cyclekarts in the annual Tieton Cyclekart races. What a blast!!
LIked it so much I went twice!
Traveled with friends the weekend before the eclipse to use the place as a starting point for our descent into Madras for the eclipse. Was clean, quiet, and perfect for what we wanted. Lost a day by the pool because of what it took to get back from Madras but I'm glad I added the extra night so that I could get some rest before driving back home to west of Seattle. Then I went down this last week for a few days for a "girls' weekend" in the middle of the week. Table was perfect for a 2000 jig saw puzzle; I can only sit in the sun for so long. Contrary to what the HomeAway page says, there is wifi and it's strong enough to stream. It was great to be able to pull into the garage and park my car in there and unload and load from there. Interesting birds are in and out throughout the day. Only change I would make is screens on all of the windows so that I could turn the air conditioning off and just throw open the windows when it cools down. Also some kind of plan for dealing with wasps. We made an "offering" both times of something sweet with some protein in it in a bowl on the deck and that distracted them well enough to leave us alone. I specifically went here to relax so I have nothing to report about what's around except that the Fred Meyers on Fruitvale is the best grocery option, but the drive into Cowiche is pretty and you can find a Walmart there with everything you could ever need. I also boarded my dogs at Little Paws in Yakima because I could not find anywhere in Kitsap to leave them when I made the second reservation. It was a decent place to leave the pets. (For the owner's sake, they were never on the property.)
Loved our stay! Very relaxing
We had another great weekend here relaxing by the pool. Looking forward to next year!
