Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)
Why Owner chose Canyons Resort
We bought this townhome because we love The Canyons ski mountain. It's the biggest ski resort in Utah, all the chairlifts and buildings are new, the terrain is varied and the lift lines are much shorter than at Deer Valley, Park City or other Utah resorts. We love the Hidden Creek complex due to its superb location and our particular townhome is in one of the best locations being so close to the Cabriolet lift and backing up to Aspen Creek.
What makes this Townhome unique
We love visiting our townhome. Once there, it feels like you're in a house, not a condo. Entrance, kitchen, living room, master bedroom and kids room are all on the ground floor. Sliding glass door opens up to the patio, hot tub, back yard area and Aspen Creek. It's very private and serene. It's also great having our own private sauna, full sized washer and dryer and garage. We love this place and so will you!

Where to stay ion Park City
Absolutely outstanding. Very attractive, comfortable and meets all needs of a vacationer. Felt very much at home.
Cozy condo and the BEST LOCATION for skiing!
This place was great! Enough room for my husband and our 2 kids (14 & 11) plus our friend and his daughter (14). It’s the easiest place to walk to the ski lift and you are at the mountain. Jacuzzi was great after skiing. The place was clean and had a nice, updated kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.
Amazing location not ideal for young kids
We loved our stay and had a great time. I thought I was prepared for the spiral staircase and the railing in the loft but once we got there we rearranged sleeping plans because the railing was so precarious. The spiral staircase was hard because the kids wanted to use it the second we said no; but the railing was a bit scary and so we had our daughter sleep in our room. That said there was tons of room for the rearrangement and the downstairs is lovely! We didn’t get around to the hot tub but its a plus to have and the walk to the Cabriolet lift was super easy even with 3 young kids.
We will definitely stay here again but will wait till the kids are older or go with another family that has older kids (or just go ourselves and stay downstairs!)
Great location to lifts and nice accommodations
Really enjoyed the unit. Highly recommend it. Great location to lifts and nice unit
For a ski vacation at Canyons, the location on Aspen Drive can't be beat. It made the logistics of getting to the slopes so easy. We also loved the hot tub, as did our boys. On the negative side, the garage is fine, but only if you own a smart car. Nothing else will fit, and the preprogrammed thermostat was totally useless. Being an older house, there was a lot of (cold) air leakage, making it difficult to get the house comfortable.
Bottom line, we would rent again.
good location, not great with small children
We stayed in the summer and this is right at the base of the cabriolet, which was nice. Otherwise, I feel like the listing was not completely forthcoming. There is a spiral staircase that is the only way to get up to the loft and one of the bedrooms. We had planned to put our older parents in that bedroom and children in the loft. Not a great plan-- the staircase is so narrow you can barely get a suitcase up it (and it takes work to do it). It is so narrow that we started to slip and fall several times. The rails on the loft are so far appart that my 21 month old fits through them!! I am sure that is not up to code. We ended up having to move a chair in front of the stairs so the small kids couldn't get up there because we were afraid they would fall through the railings at the top as well as the stairs being so scary. Would likely be a great place for older kids and adults only, but not recommended for anyone with kids under 5. Also not well stocked- I was surprised at how few kitchen utensils there were since this was called a "second home" in the listing. We also were not left enough toilet paper and had to go buy some. There is a washer and dryer which was nice, we had to go buy laundry detergent (though that didn't bother me). Kitchen was nice and updated and there was a BBQ- the propane tank was empty but we found a full one in the garage we were able to use. The hot tub was nice, but there were no directions about where the pool was (listing says community pool) and we were never able to find it- I would suggest adding directions to the pool to the book we found under the coffee table with some info. Beds were comfortable (king in the master downstairs, twin over full bunk in the other downstairs bedroom, loft had a twin with a trundle twin, and the upstairs bedroom had a queen). Overall we made it work and it was fine, but I really wish I had known about the staircase and the loft with open rails that are so far apart a kid can fit through them-- that would have made a difference for us and we likely would not have booked this condo, so just putting this out there for other families with small kids. It was comfortable and I would suggest for adults that are coming on a ski trip or something because the location was great for that. For us we were able to walk to the park our kids were playing a lacrosse tournament at which was nice and the cabriolet was fun to ride. But I gotta give it a 3 because those stairs and loft.
Thank you for your review. I have revised my listing to specifically mention the circular stairway (that was in existence when I bought the town home) however I do note that the stairway is visible in the second and third photos on my VRBO listing.
As for the kitchen utensils, normally the utensils are "findable" but guests and housecleaning staff tend to put stuff away where you can't always find what you're looking for. Nonetheless, I will have my property manager take inventory and re-stock with any items necessary before the coming ski season.
