Maria Carmen and Graham Pyle have owned the Carihuela, Torremolinos property since 2001. We live in Enfield UK, although we have relatives in Torremolinos, who look after the apartment for us. We have enjoyed family holidays in Torremolinos nearly every year since we bought the apartment and our two sons now also use the apartment for their own family holidays.

Why Graham Pyle chose Carihuela
We got to know Torremolinos when Maria Carmen's sister went to work there and she introduced us to 'La Carihuela', which is a vibrant area both during the day and at night. Apart from the lovely beaches, there are many bars, shops and restaurants of all types, many of which serve seafood specialities, typical of this part of the coast. Malaga airport is only about 20 minutes drive away.
What makes this Apartment unique
If you stay at our apartment you will be only 2 minutes walk from the fabulous sandy beaches, beach bars, restaurants and shops. The apartment is on the ground floor with access through an open-air Andalusian courtyard, so no queuing for lifts or walking up flights of stairs! We are happy to offer arrival/departure dates on any day of the week to suit your convenience and you can take advantage of lower priced midweek flights where available.

Have stayed here before . Excellent location so close to beach and sea front restaurants , yet so peaceful and cool indoors when hot . There is everything you need in the apartment for an easy holiday , beds very comfortable, fantastic refurbished bathroom and well equipped kitchen. WiFi, Aircon and TV all user friendly. Will always stay here as we know it does what it says on the tin !! Best resort lots of lovely bars and restaurants, we tend to stay very close to home and love Sotto Voce for food and El Horno beach bar is welcoming and now do Sushi that is the best , freshly made in front of you . It really is 10 out of 10 for this apartment .
First class apartment
A great holiday in a great apartment. This apartment really is just 2 minutes from beach, bars, shops and restaurants. This ground floor apartment was clean, comfortable and with all the facilities you need for a holiday stay. Comfortable beds and a lovely large bathroom with walk in power shower. The kitchen has a good range of equipment, including a washing machine and tumble drier. Tv with good range of english channels to keep up with news from home. Booking was a simple process and it was good to have keys before travelling. Graham provided lots of useful information, eg local restaurants, instructions for tv & wifi etc. Graham proved easily contactable during a 'mini crisis' on our last day & his family were quick to help with cheerfulness & good humour !! Would not hesitate to recommend this apartnent to others wanting a great holiday in a great apartment.
Brilliant location spaciuos apartment
Wonderful location 2 minutes from restaurants and the beach . This isn't Torrelominos (as we know it) it is a district nearby and far nicer with hundreds of good quality authentic Spanish restaurants. The apartment itself is homely , very well equipped , clean and spacious. We loved it and will return . The communal courtyard entrance area, behind locked doors is beautiful and the property feels safe and secure because of this . The terrace is enclosed and a nice place to enjoy breakfast. There is no balcony or anywhere to dine alfresco but frankly this is not a problem - as why would you do this when there are a hundred restaurants on your doorstep . Thank you Graham – we loved the apartment and the locality . We have been travelling to the Malaga area for 20 years regularly and had never considered or heard of La Cariheuela as an area before – but it is wonderful locality.

The apartment is 2 minutes from the seafront (if you walk slowly!!). La Carihuela is at the centre of a long beach-front promenade, with its sandy beaches, which stretch from Torremolinos to Benalmadena.
There are all the usual facilities, including beach bars, sun beds and showers. Walks along the promenade are very popular and for the more active, water sports facilities, boat-hire, ‘banana’ boat, parascending, windsurfing and water skiing can be found locally.
There are flights to Malaga from most main UK airports. The airport is located west of the city of Malaga, approx 9 kms (about 20 minutes drive) to the apartment.
Car hire is not essential, as all amenities are close by and buses/taxis are readily available. The railway station in Torremolinos town centre serves Malaga Airport and Malaga city to the east, Benalmadena and Fuengirola to the west.
Torremolinos town centre (15 mins walk or short bus ride) for shopping etc. Malaga (17kms, about ½ hour by bus or train) for that big shopping trip!
The Costa del Sol offers much to see and do, from water-parks (including Aquapark in Torremolinos), bowling and Tivoli World Theme Park to local ‘fiestas’ and places of historical interest such as Granada (140 kms) and Sevilla (225). Other local resorts include Benalmadena (7 kms), Fuengirola (21), Mijas 29), Puerto Banus (54)and Marbella (54).
There are numerous bars, hotels and nightspots, some with live music and many restaurants, offering a variety of cuisine. For the energetic, there are discotheques and night clubs.
Within the nearby pedestrians-only area, there are many interesting shops, selling clothes, leather, souvenirs etc, as well as bakeries, banks, supermarkets etc.
