We are a large, close family with 5 children 6 years apart. Each summer since we bought the apartment in 2006, we have all loved going to the Algarve and staying in the apartment. Now that the older kids have partners, they are more and more tending to go with them, but we still all go every year together. We hope that you will enjoy staying in our apartment as much as we do. We visited the Algarve over 25 years ago and since then we have loved it and always dreamed of one day owning an apartment there. In 2006 that dream came true for us when we saw our apartment on the internet, immediately loved what we could see of it and its location, booked a flight to see it that weekend, and agreed to buy it there and then. The agent, an English ex-pat in Albufeira, probably never had an easier sale!
What makes this Apartment unique
Many, possibly most, holiday apartments in the Algarve don't have wifi because of the high charges, so a big advantage of our apartment is that we have fast, unlimited wifi. This in turn enables us to provide full UK terrestrial channels plus the non-premium Sky channels.

The spacious apartment was lovely, catering for all our needs. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was very helpful to find food essentials waiting for us in the well equipped kitchen.
Fabulous pool and we were certainly not bothered by the 'no lounger by the pool' rule in fact we felt it enhanced the experience - it was quite refreshing not to see sun loungers with towels on them and no sign people!
The location is close enough to walk to the beach, bars and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet.
Whilst, on this visit to AdP we did not use the buses, we noted that the bus stop was a short walk away.
As we were to arrive earlier than the normal check in time, the owner and managing agent were happy to accommodate our dropping off of luggage - we were grateful for this - it allowed us to go and enjoy the afternoon without lugging our cases with us.
David responded quickly to my communications regarding the booking.
Overall, I would highly recommend this property - I have no doubt that we will be planning a return visit in the not too distant future 😎�

Armação de Pera, Algarve
My family and I stayed at this lovely apartment for four nights, would’ve stayed longer but had earlier plans. Location is a short walk to Pescadores beach and a 3 minutes drive down the road to Olival Beach (awesome beach). The apartment was very nice and the pool had just been redone and a great place for our kids to kick off their day while we prepared lunch and the beach gear for the afternoon.
Great time in the evening down on the main strip above Olival beach with plenty of night life and restaurants.

This was our 4th visit to Dave and Ali’s fantastic property, I think that speaks for itself, it won’t be the last!
Special interest holidays:
Since we have owned Vila Nova, we have had lots of returning guests, so we now have a loyalty program with discounts for returning guests which gives 10% - 15% discount off advertised prices, or in certain circumstances, within the same pricing period, where the price has increased, return at the same price previously paid.
Armacao is at the western end of one of the longest and most beautiful beaches on the Algarve, stretching over two miles. All usual beach facilities and activities are available, and the eastern end of the beach backs onto dunes and the Salgados Nature reserve with 4 sq.m. of lagoons, rich flora and waterfowl. From the apartment, the closest part of the beach and the Nature reserve is about 5-6 minutes' walk away, and the 'town' beach is about 10.
Faro airport's 30-40 mins away by car. A taxi costs approximately €40-50 (per size of taxi) each way from the airport. A car isn't necessary as all local facilities, shops etc are within easy walking distance and public transport is good to other resorts along the coast, but if you wish to explore the coast and the hilly rural hinterland, car hire is very cheap in Portugal, and we can recommend car hire or taxi companies that we have used.
The apartment is close to 2 large water parks including the Algarve's famous Aqualand, (the free Aqualand bus service runs from near the apartment). There are many other attractions close by including ZooMarina, and the Algarve Centre in Guia, with shops, cinemas (in English), bowling and restaurants, close to the village of Guia famed for its many Chicken Piri Piri restaurants. Albufeira's about 10kms away, Portimao 15kms, and Silves (with its Moorish castle) 20kms.
When you arrive, we'll provide a welcome pack which will include a bottle of wine, a few beers, some coffee, tea, and milk, bottled water, along with bread, butter, jam, and cheese. If you have kids there'll be some pop in the fridge too. Other basics, such as washing up liquid, will be provided. The apartment will have been cleaned and everything checked. Our local agent will meet you and show you around, give you the keys, and answer any questions.
We provide towels for use in the apartment, but please bring your own beach towels. Water, gas and electricity is fully included (October to March reasonable electricity usage included).
An up-to-date information booklet will be emailed to you upon receipt of your enquiry (and posted to you before you travel) with useful information and links relevant to your stay at Vila Nova.
If you wish to go ahead and book, our part-completed booking form will be emailed to you for completion and return, and on receipt of your deposit or payment, a copy will be signed and posted back to you by way of receipt.
There are several supermarkets within 5/10 minutes walk, as well as the town's many shops, banks/ATMs, and usual facilities. Also within a few minutes' walk are various nightclubs and many, many bars and restaurants in the town and beachfront, including Brazilian, Chinese, Indian, and Italian restaurants, as well as local fish restaurants for which Armacao is well known (caught locally and landed at Fisherman's Beach).
