Our beaches, coves and coastline vary from about 0.5-2 miles, 10-30 minutes walking, 2-10 minutes driving.
Bus links to Fishguard Harbour, 13 miles, to connect to Irish ferries, also to Haverfordwest, 17 miles to rail station.
Cardiff airport is approx 2 hours away.
The picturesque harbour village of Solva is about 3 miles eastbound. Haverfordwest, the market town of Pembrokeshire is 17 miles eastbound.
The city offers a variety of shops ranging from those selling local fresh produce, art and craft, surfing equipment, shoes and clothing. St. Davids seems to be emerging as a centre for clothing retail, attracting brands such as Fat-Face, White Stuff, Joules and Crew to name but a few. The city also boasts a fine farmers market which springs up around the market square every Thursday.
the main attraction is the wonderful 12th Century Cathedral and nearby Bishop's Palace. Both these stand low in the Vale of Roses on the river Alun. History tells us that this site was chosen so as to keep them safe and out of the sight of Viking invaders. Today the Cathedral is not only a place of worship, but is a spectacular venue for concerts, music festivals, ceremonial events and indeed as a film set for movie productions.
The Cathedral is unique and is one of Wales' primary tourist attractions. It is said that in the 12th Century, Pope Calixtus II decreed that two pilgrimages to St. Davids were equal to one to Rome.
Engulfing this unique village city is the beautiful coastline that attracts walkers from all over the globe. its breathtaking scenery offers an incredible resource of wildlife, bith flora and fauna, spectacular seabirds and sea life. Caves are stumbled across and offer their enchantment, and windswept beaches of golden sand provide ideal locations for picnicking, walking and many other outdoor activities such as horse riding, surfing, coasteering and kayaking.

I'm an architect by profession, working in London for the first part of my career until I came home to St.Davids a few years ago. It's a wonderfully enchanting place to live. We've let residential properties for generations and decided this year to convert this property to a holiday rental.
