3 Bedroom Rancher on Private, Wooded Lot
Hi! I'm Kim; married to Steve. My brother, Gene and I inherited this property from our Mom-Mom. Our 1st Vacation home (#406734) has done so well - we have THE ABSOLUTE BEST GUESTS!!! We love sharing our property, knowing how much everyone loves it here, so... we're adding a 2nd Vacation home!
Kim purchased this House in 2016
Why Kim chose North East
This home was built in 1989 by my Dad and Pop Pop and has always been a year-round rental, until now! Gene and Steve & I have completely renovated it, including new paint throughout and new kitchen cabinets and appliances, new flooring and carpet! It's beautiful and we're so excited to share it with you!
What makes this House unique
This home has a big backyard, very open to the sky. Take a seat in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy an evening bonfire under the stars!

Weekend getaway with family.
The vrbo rental was perfect for us. The location was close to Elk Neck State Park and Turkey Point Lighthouse. We enjoyed the quiet and nice fire ring and the well equipped kitchen.
Private, relaxing, just perfect!
Kim is great! The house was clean and comfortable. It was hard to get out of bed every day, but we wanted to experience what the area had to offer. We loved the private location, but close enough to restaurants. Definitely doing this again and wouldn’t look for another place to stay! Thanks for a great mini vacation!
great secluded place
We enjoyed the private place and the water was perfect for our 5 children. We had 7 kayaks to enjoy in the water the three days we were there. Also swimming at the sandbar..seeing wildlife and enjoying the quiet nature.. Thanks again for your hospitality. Ruth L
Wedding get away
We stayed here whilst attending a wedding at Elk Neck State Park. It was perfect for our party. Kim was the perfect host and answered all our questions and even offered accommodation to wedding guests whose park cabins were damaged in a storm the day before the wedding.
The home was perfectly positioned for the park or the river. It was spacious, well stocked and clean and although we didn’t get to use them kayaks were available to us. The gift of cookies and wine was a lovely touch from owner Kim. We would highly recommend staying.
A perfect getaway in the woods!
Kim and Steve were nothing but accommodating. They're sweet and funny and did everything they could to make sure we were happy and having fun! The walk to the river is chock-full of nature and simply beautiful. The dock is shared with another couple of properties Kim and Steve own, but the people we met were all so lovely and fun. It's great for groups of adults and families with children. The house was so clean and had everything we could have needed. Towels, a full kitchen, more than enough linens and pillows, a TV in each room!
The area is generally not great with cellular connection at all aside from Verizon, so Kim brought us a WiFi hotspot to keep us connected (but it was nice disconnecting anyway).
We'd definitely stay again. The town nearby is so charming. The house is in a good driving distance to plenty of stores (grocery, Walmart) yet is perfectly secluded.
Thank you Kim and Steve (and Genie, who we didn't get to meet but saw his hand-laid lighthouse!)!!!!
- Alyssa and the whole crew
Kim is a wonderful host. 3 of us were in town for a Wedding at the Bohemia River Overlook and it was the perfect place for us to stay nearby. Kim was very accommodating and was available whenever we needed her. The house is very private and tucked into the woods where there was very little noise to be heard. We had a great time barbecuing and using the fire pit. All in all it was a great experience!
