Luxurious, family and pet-friendly cottage in the heart of Prince Edward County

The cottage was very clean, the layout was comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and we all appreciated the many thoughtful touches, such as the DVD collection, the well equipped kitchen and the evening lighting. There was plenty of space for people to socialize or to spend some quiet time looking out at the water or into the woods. My family had a wonderful vacation here. It is close to local vineyards and breweries and there are good groceries and other shops and restaurants in Picton. We swam and canoed and played on the lawn. It is by far one of the best properties we have rented through Home Away.

Another great visit to Prince Edward County. Our second time staying at this property. Easily brought our own boat, which adds so much to the lake experience. House is exactly as pictured, with a wonderful view & lovely rooms, huge deck, great beds, & everything a cook would need. When the weather is poor, plenty to see in nearby towns & wine to drink!! Thank you for an amazing getaway!!

The property was ideal. It was large enough to accommodate two families with enough rooms for privacy and family gathering rooms for coming together. The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The owners made sure to leave brochures and literature on things to do in the area should you choose to venture away for the day and we took advantage of this by spending the day at the gorgeous Sandbanks Provincial Park. The only downside during our stay was the water quality in the lake. The algae does build up along the shoreline and with little ones it is unfortunate as we mostly kept them on the deck with their wadding pool. This wasn't much of a big deal for them as they were content. Though for the adults we did want clear water to swim in so we didn't really go in. Overall though the cottage itself was perfect for our stay and we had a wonderful week regardless of the water. For some this may be an issue but you could always swim a bit further out to get clearer water.

Such a relaxing week in paradise. Lovely spacious home with spectacular views, beautiful water, and such a quiet peaceful location. The best.

Our group of 7 adults and 1 baby spent a week in Prince Edward County at this fabulous home. Everything about the property was first class from the oversized outdoor spaces to the beautiful interior decor. Wonderful memories were made and we hope to return again in the future. Thank you Luc for providing quick responses to all of our questions and the lovely bottle of wine, we thoroughly enjoyed it!
