My sisters and I just returned from spending 6 nights here. The host Francesca was so nice, allowing us to check-in a little early. The place was very clean and so charming. The location is fabulous - close to the Vatican, lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The caretaker, Mar, was so nice. He stored our luggage after check-out and arranged to take us to the airport. This was our fourth trip to Rome and by far the best place we stayed in. We can't wait to return.

The old elevator is very unique! The property was super close to all sights - very walkable. The only drawback was that there was no fan in the bathroom which for four people didn’t work so well. But other than that, the main bed was super comfy and the AC was spot on!

Great location, beautiful apartment, easy communication.
We had a great stay at this apartment. Prati is a well situated neighbhourhood for visiting Rome while being in a quieter more residential area. The apartment is spotless and just as the photos describe it. We appreciated the crib for our baby. Just a heads up for anyone booking, there is a flight of stairs so you’ll have to carry the stroller for one floor if you’re travelling with a little one. We knew that when we booked and it didn’t pose an issue. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely stay
Host very accommodating. We got in early and was able to check in a bit early. Rooms were extremely clean. Bed very comfortable. Full kitchen was able to prepare breakfasts in apartment before heading out for our full tourist days. Thank you so much for making our visit near the Vatican easy and comforting!

I was born in the apartment below ours. Our daughter lives in the other apartment opposite and it is very convenient to have my space so near my dear family as I live a lot of the time in the UK.
We have a daughter and two sons and 8 grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

It is a stones throw from all the main sights in Rome and is in a wonderful roman neighbourhood. It is at the top of a 1920's building full of light and very quiet.
Surrounded by excellent restaurants, bars and market it allows you to get a feel of the "real Rome".

What makes this property unique

Vaticano and Prati. Although this area is dominated by St. Peter's dome, and the attractions of the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, food is what draws Romans to Prati. On the main shopping street via Cola di Rienzo one can find anything. In this area of Rome you can see a great range of Historical ages and architectural style as you move away from the Roman Empire in the historic centre. Before Italy was unified the neighbourhood called Prati was just open fields and meadows (prati), but in 1880 careful planning and construction led to the ordered grid of streets that you see today.
St. Peter's dome acts as a homing beacon when exploring the city. The other main landmark is Castel St. Angelo, started life in AD139 as Hadrian's mausoleum. In its time it has been a mausoleum, a fortress, a stronghold and a prison. The Castle gets its name from the angel.

There is tourist charge of 5 Euros per person for the first 10 days only, not for children under 10.
Francesca will collect these charges from you.
