The Deckhouse, Cottage Point is a two - level private retreat resting on the banks of Cowan Creek with direct water access, 180 degree views and a sunny NW aspect.

The Panoramic views of the river and beyond enter the open plan entry level. Beautifully decorated with a small yet fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The living space is awash with natural light, with floor to ceiling doors leading onto the balcony and daybed. The perfect place to relax and watch the boats pass by.

Outdoor stairs take you down to the lower level, where you will step straight onto the deck and pontoon. Launch the kayaks, bask in the sun, or start up the BBQ. The second bedroom and bathroom are also located on the lower level, with a small kitchenette for ease of access to the outdoor dining area.

Lower level
Open plan with a second bedroom, bathroom and mini kitchen space with easy access BBQ dining crockery , glasses and coffee/tea making . ( no stove or refrigerator) Drying rack, washing machine and iron is also available on this level.
This lower level leads onto the sunny deck and water. Complete with an outdoor dining space , BBQ and outdoor heater. The private pontoon leads from the deck for those wishing to bring their boat.

Kayak, fish and simply relax while enjoying the water, the views and the magnificent sunsets of Cottage Point.
Two kayaks and two fishing rods available for guest use. Boat hire available across the road at the Cottage Point Kiosk.
The Deckhouse uses rain water . We have a kitchen filtering system installed and reverse cycle air conditioning on both levels.

NO FREE TO AIR TV, Netflix, Prime ( sign in to your own account) and Foxtel available. Main living area 40" HD, Bedroom 32"HD smart TV

Please note that the lower deck, jetty and pontoon are not fenced and access between each of the property levels, is via outdoor stairs only. Not suitable for children under 13 years old. Guests between the ages of 13 and 18 and infants pre crawling age are welcome. Please advise ages of children within your introductory message.

IMPORTANT
Access from the carport is via inclinator ( outdoor lift) only. There is no alternative. The inclinator takes only a couple of minutes from the carport to the property ( a favourite experience for many guests)

No smoking, no candles, no naked flames of any sort.

The property is not appropriate for pets of any kind.
No third party bookings . The guest booking cannot book for someone else.
Given the unique layout of the property ,the proximity to the water, the amenities available due to the location and our insurance policy limitations we are unable to alter our house rules. Owners live in a separate home at the top of the block of land. We always endeavour to give guests full privacy during their visit and do not use any of The Deckhouse outdoor areas to ensure your privacy.
