About this property

Modern, clean trailer, waterview at small campground (The Springdale)

So you want to experience the great outdoors, nature’s tranquility, and maybe even a bit of camping, but you don’t like “roughing it”? Maybe the thought of sleeping on the ground in a tent is not your cup of hot chocolate? Do you like to sleep with four walls and a roof around you?

Fully equipped with electricity and water, all you have to do is show up with your own pillows, linen, and towels, and you’re good to go. The camper-trailers sit up off the cold ground and have curtains for your privacy.

While the toilet within the camper-trailer has been disabled, modern washroom facilities are just steps away and include flush toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and hot showers. For cooking, you can use the in-trailer stove, oven, exterior fire pit, or BBQ. We’ll provide the pots, utensils, and BBQ.

NOTE: *** COVID-19 MEASURES: Our trailers are professionally cleaned and sanitized after each occupancy. ***

Sleeps 2 adults & 2 young children. Kitchen, stove, fridge, microwave, living room area with pull out sofa, 2 reading chairs, VHS/DVD player, private bedroom with queen bed, private washroom (toilet disabled) with sink & vanity, BBQ, fire pit, picnic table.

Includes 2 hours free use per day of watercraft (canoe, kayak, paddleboat, paddleboard and life jackets).

Perfect for little ones!
This was our first attempt camping with our 2.5 year old, and as I'm pregnant and didn't want to sleep on the ground in a tent, we rented the Springdale. It went really well. The trailer is very spacious and they really set you up with everything you need, so I won't pack so much next time! My only issue was that the queen bed is very hard. I'd recommend bringing a roll of foam to put down on top. The wood we purchased was also entirely soaked. I've had wet wood before but this was terrible. I'm assuming it's not always that bad, probably just our luck. Luckily all the general stores in town, and Smart's marina, sell dry firewood. Other than that we had a great time! It's a really nice little park. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay with kids
With 2 young kids, the campground was perfect: playground behind the trailer from where we can easily keep an eye on our son, beach with shallow water, quiet at night and very friendly staff. And the cherry on top of the cake, Bon Echo provincial park is very close

Ralph Gentile—Owner

Ralph’s story is the closest you’re going to get to that old TV series “Green Acres” where Eddie Albert and Zsa Zsa Gabor move from Manhattan to a farm. A down town Toronto stock-trader, city slicker Ralph decided he wanted a quieter place in which to raise a family.

In 1975 he bought a small farm south of Napanee and moved his family with him. Since that time he has owned numerous businesses, started the Music By the River annual festival where Avril Lavigne once appeared, was President of the local Optimists Club, was instrumental in the Napanee Pavilion being built, as well as numerous other festivals and events. In 2006 Ralph was declared “Greater Napanee Citizen of the Year.”

Always friendly and willing to help, being a campground owner is a perfect role for Ralph, where he strives to ensure all visitors have a fun, enjoyable, and relaxing experience. Ralph can normally be found puttering around at the campground on weekends.
