Welcome to Raven's River Rest; enjoy your stay in a private house at a prime location on riverfront property at the Somass River. The Somass has one of the most extensive Salmon runs from May to October. Bring your fishing rod. There's an outdoor fire pit for those cozy nights around the fire. Families and your fur babies are welcome! We also live on the property adjacent to the guesthouse. Therefore, we kindly request that your pets be socialized and comfortable around other dogs. There is ample parking: free WIFI, a full kitchen, a king-size bed, and bunk beds with double and single beds on top.

Wish we could stay longer
Lovely quiet place with gardens and path to river. Only had one night and would love to have spent more time there- like a week. Hosts are wonderfully friendly.

Nice house on quiet property on the river with all the ammenities one would require. Communication with the owner was easy and quite friendly. Great place to stay when in Port.

A very special family time
The host were wonderful and connected so well with our kids teaching them to fish and learn about the land we were on. The property and entire area is so beautiful and peaceful. Many memorable days at Taylor Arm on Sprout lake, walking in the forests and by the ocean and just hanging out at the cabin and by the river

A little slice of heaven
I can not recommend staying at Raven’s Rest enough. From the moment we saw the river, the stress left our bodies. So quiet, so peaceful. Linda and Don and their 3 awesome dogs were gracious and insightful hosts. Do take advantage of Linda’s cleanse at the river, it is something that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. She is an amazing teacher who embraces her heritage and shares it freely. Truly a hidden gem.

Serene Location & perfectly appointed home!
What a wonderful getaway! We went to Port Alberni to get in some fishing on the Stamp River but what we got was so much more. Ravens River rest is a unique, beautiful, calming and restorative home & property. Linda & Don are so welcoming and are passionate about sharing their little slice of paradise with their guests. I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in Ooosimch with Linda. My husband and I loved everything about Raven's...the home is spacious yet cosy, quiet, conveniently located, well equipped and, of course, the location is stunning. We will definitely return!

Wondeful!
Fantastic stay! Bears, otters, eagles and leaping salmon all seen from the river at the bottom of the garden. Stayed with kids aged 2 and 4 and lots of entertainment for them with toys provided in house. Lots of room for kids to explore. Very safe environment despite being near river for children. Would highly recommend!

The place was so cute. The bed was so comfortable. Had everything we needed. It was great they had netflix and Disney so we could still watch our shows. Loved listening to the water feature that was outside while we were in bed.

Delightful House on the River
My husband, 2 grandchildren and I spent a wonderful 4 nights at this property. The house is spacious, immaculately clean, and so very comfortable. It is an easy house, and by that I mean it is easy to cook there, eat there, relax there, and sleep there. Outside at the front are two lovely ponds with seating and a fire pit, and at the back there is the river. Our hosts were warm, kind ,and welcoming. We loved it here. We were sorry to leave, and we hope to be back.

The home was clean, spacious, large. The owners were wonderful people. They even gave us a fresh salmon one day! Totally quiet and on the river. Would definitely recommend this home!

I knew this lovely cabin backs onto the river, but how beautiful and amazing it was was a complete surprise!! Just absolutely breathtaking! We loved how clean the cabin was, and has private laundry. Super homey, comfortable and peaceful! Lovely hosts too!

Lovely, dog friendly spot just outside town
Great house that is spacious and very comfortable even during the summer heat. We had our two large dogs with us, and they loved the property. Owners were great—very warm and quick to respond to anything that came up. And we loved meeting Simba and Bruno the dogs too :)!

Beautiful family reunion
We had a beautiful stay. This is an amazing location. The property was stunning and very relaxing. The home had ample space for everyone to spread out. We will definitely keep this in mind for the future and recommend this rental to family and friends.

Magical spot
My son and I absolutely love this spot. This was our 2nd stay here, Linda & Don you are so incredibly i warm and inviting. the space is huge, snd the outside is absolutely glorious. nature at its finest! i love sitting down at the river watching the eagles...I also highly recommend looking into Lindas extra services while your there. you wont be disappointed. we're already looking fwd to our next stay! thank you 😊

Serenity
We spent a very peaceful Christmas at this lovely property. We had our dog with us and she had a wonderful time with the dogs next door. It snowed while we were there so we really appreciated all the amenities of the well equipped kitchen and then curling up in front of the big screen TV. We also enjoyed identifying the birds at the bird feeder as we washed dishes. It was a special treat. We'd love to go back and get more enjoyment of the location which is right on the river. The snow made it a little more difficult to get around, but we were able to easily make it to the grocery store and to local walks for the dog. We felt very spoiled in our special place by the river. Although the property suited us very well, it wouldn't be ideal for two, adult couples. The second bedroom only has bunk-beds. The lower bunk-bed is a double but since there isn't much clearance to the upper bed, it could be a bit claustrophobic. We have already recommended this place to our friends.

Weekend getaway!
We were looking for a quiet place to relax, the home was clean, comfortable and located in a very quiet neighbourhood. We were close to town and a hike we wanted to do the while we were there. All in all it was exactly what we were expecting and the hosts were helpful and quick to respond via text!

Felt like home, surrounded by family
We immediately knew that we were in a unique and magical place upon pulling into the property.
