No need to take a Chill Pill here!

It’s time to wind down at this splendid home with up close and personal majestic mountain views. At night you will enjoy star gazing while you sip on your wine kicking back in the comfortable outdoor courtyard.

Indoors you will find a spacious home with a kitchen that is abundantly stocked with all of your cooking needs, a coffee/reading nook to take in the mountain views. A dining room for your more formal meals. Enjoy the fireplace in the living area to warm you on the cooler nights. You will the the master bedroom is spacious with a “California King” bed with a memory foam topper so you can get a glorious night’s sleep.

You will find double sinks and a bathroom that leads out to the pool area and jacuzzi. The other two guests’ rooms are equipped with queen size beds and share a bathroom with a tub shower combo.

You will find the backyard is very private with pool (not heated) and jacuzzi (heated) along with lounge chairs for working on that tan. You can eat lunch pool side on the table and chairs.

Our neighborhood doesn’t have any street lights so it makes for some amazing star and moon gazing.

If you love the outdoors, we are just a hop skip and jump to some amazing hiking and biking trails.

For some yummy restaurant’s and a day of retail therapy, You will find Old Town La Quinta is less than two miles away.

You are only 7 minutes to the Polo Fields where Coachella, Stagecoach and Desert Trip are held.

This is the perfect place for you to vacation or work from home with all the comforts in all the right places.

Nice house in good neighborhood. Short drive to coffee and restaurants. Great area for cycling and hiking. Nice to walk the neighborhood and see the interesting houses and their landscaping. Helpful and friendly owner.

Comfortable stay in La Quinta

3 of us stayed here over NYE to have a comfortable and quiet place while attending other events in the area. Hosts were great and allowed us to check in a few hours early due to our early flight. Much appreciated!

Great stay in La Quinta

We loved Casa Chill-a-lotta. Great location in La Quinta close to hiking trails and historic downtown. The house was very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The hot tub timer was perfect for getting the temp just right for a soak under the stars.

July vacation.

Place was very clean. Easy check in. Perfect for a couple. Only thing I would mention is to remove on the listing that it has satellite/ cable since it doesn’t. That kinda was a factor for us in picking the place. But otherwise everything was great.

Casa Chill a Lotta

The property provides as stated for a nice quiet location, the dwelling is spacious and provides for functional spaces. The overall impression of the dwelling is that it shows well and has a great open concept for the living areas. The kitchen space is noted to have some issues related to the functionality of the space as the fridge location, dishwasher, stove locations make for a tight space if there are more than 2 people in the kitchen. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes every time, which required additional cycles, garburator when used would provide for back up in the next sink. There are some issues related to wear with some fixtures needing some work (Kitchen taps), master ensuite screened door to patio area is old and showing signs of wood rot at the bottom. The hot water is set at an extremely high temperature which was noted to be uncomfortable, as we were all adults, we made note of the issues and were careful, if however children were to be staying it would be dangerous and possible burns may occur. These issues were relatively minor and our stay was not overly affected, we enjoyed our stay and the site and location provided for a good home base for our excursions and our stay.

This was a great place! The owners were very responsive. The home had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time connecting with family and relaxing in the pool. We would definitely recommend this place and look for to returning.

Our stay at La Quinta Cove house

The photos of the property are great. We were surprised to discover that all of the outdoor furniture was very dirty and so were all the walk ways. It appear the owner only takes care of the pool. We come from Seattle and we were wanting to spend as much time outside as possible. We were all unprepared for the very cold temperatures of the pool in February. We all had planned to swim but we never did. My grandchildren who are 19 and 17 found the sauna to cold to enjoy. The inside of the house is loaded with art objects which don't leave room for any personal affects. The kitchen has many large serving pieces but not a good selection of pots. The kitchen was also in a disarray. There did not seem to be an organizational order to anything. The owner was very courteous until I told him that attending to the pool early in the morning would not work for me. When I told him my limitation he asked if that was a hard no. I am a landlord myself and i was surprised at his answer to my limitation in regards to time

Wonderful stay. Home was clean and as described. 1/2 mi from the all the hiking trails and 1 1/2 mi from Old Town. Quiet neighborhood.

Chillin’ is easy here!

Our stay at Casa Chill-a-Lotta was fantastic! The house is lovely and is a truly relaxing, serene setting. It looked even better in person. There were plenty of towels, everything you need to cook or grill with, and newer appliances. The check-in and out processes were effortless. We had a few questions for Ric and he always responded quickly and with very clear answers or instructions. One of my favorite features at this rental home is how the pool is situated. We were able to swim from morning till night because some part of the area was constantly in the shade. That is not always the case with desert homes so it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back to chill some more at this beautiful property in the stunning La Quinta Cove.

Amazing Property

What a gem of a home. I hated to leave. I needed to hit the reset button and boy did I find the perfect place! Daytime in the sun and swimming in the pool, nights in front courtyard with spectacular Mountain View’s and stars galore. This is so relaxing and the owners have provided such ambiance and a clean and welcome experience with all the comfort of home and more. You won’t be disappointed ❤️😎🌴

Wonderful desert retreat!

We enjoyed this beautiful home for a girls getaway. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun long weekend. Ric and Kim were very accommodating hosts and were waiting for us. From start to finish, they made us feel like we've known them a long time, and we felt their genuine concern for our comfort and enjoyment. Villa Martinez is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, there are several walking trails close by with dramatic mountain views to enjoy. It is a short drive to many restaurants and shopping areas as well. The house is beautifully furnished and well stocked. The back yard is small, but the pool and spa suited us just fine. They showed us how to operate the spa equipment, bbq and everything else we needed to know for our stay. We hope this lovely home will be available on our next visit to the desert, it certainly worked out very well for us. Thank you again, Ric and Kim for your hospitality.

I am a true blue California girl! My husband Ric grew up in Tampa Florida..however has spent more time in Cali. We have three children and two adorable Grandchildren. We primarily live in the desert and have also recently purchased a home in Lake Arrowhead which we will also be renting out so we will be going back and forth.
Our hobbies include hiking in our amazing desert mountains with our dog Petey, also love to spend time at the beach. Nothing however beats spending time with our family!

Why they chose this property

When we were looking at homes in the desert, we kept getting drawn back to our home now. I can say when you come to stay at our home you will know why we choose where we did. Our home is very unique and between that and the area because of the closeness and quietness it sold us!
