Vancouver Island cottages

This was a gem of a place nestled in a beautiful forest with exquisite landscaping. It was so neat and clean and very well appointed - we had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful place to relax and recharge and appreciate nature. There were lots of windows to enjoy the views of the lovely garden and trees. The location had easy access to a multitude of trails for hiking. The bed was super comfortable which was awesome for our aging backs! I hope we get the chance to stay there again!

Pristine lakefront property nestled in the trees - our guesthouse was clean, quiet and very comfortable. At night the sound of crickets lulled us to sleep and in the morning there was a small family of deer passing through. Janis is an amazing, thoughtful hostess and we will definitely be coming back!

Our family enjoyed our time at Ann's Cottage. It is a very quiet neighbourhood. The cottage is well-kept. A great treat were the hummingbirds and deer that visited the property.

This is our second stay on the property, but first time in the Rose Cottage, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The cottage is sparkling clean and comfortable, the mattresses are AMAZING, the fireplace was even perfectly stacked for our first fire. The yard is gorgeous and private - our dog loved being able to run around in the grass, sniffing all the smells and chasing the odd rabbit off into the bushes. We slept like babies every night and enjoyed views from the yard, both beaches, and all the little lookouts along the trails. We even saw otters and a couple seals! Ray popped by to check on us- he’s such a kind man, and really puts his heart and soul into keeping this place beautiful. Kristi checked in via text and was available if we needed her (but everything was perfect, so we didn’t have to reach out at all during our stay). It really was just such a great stay. Thank you for everything! We’re already looking forward to coming back again next year :)

I always caution the kids that a place might not be quite as "magical" as it seems in pictures or on a video. But this place was even better in person than the pictures revealed. It's a beautiful location. We had a lovely and refreshing time, the kids were thrilled and asking when we can come back. The kitchen was well-equipped, everything was clean, there was plenty of wood and kindling ready in the woodstove. The beds/linens were high-quality and comfortable. The wifi worked well and there were plenty of outlets/usb. The beach house was charming. We really enjoyed the view - the waves crashing against the rocks, watching the seals and the sea lions. Even though we were doing a quick local getaway for a few days, we left feeling like we had had a real vacation. Wonderful place, and the caretaker who checked on us was very nice, too.
