10. Learn about raptors at the Falconry Experience Centre
At the Falconry Experience Centre, you can attend junior and family programs to learn about falconry. In the juniors program, an adult must accompany the child. For an hour and a half, your child can enjoy a one-on-one, interactive experience with these birds of prey — including a falcon and a hawk! Family sessions have two activities to choose from: Raptor Experience or Birds of Prey. Adults and children from 10-15 are welcome to learn how to handle and fly the raptors. In Birds of Prey, the whole family will be wowed by the owls, presented under the guidance of the professional staff, and learn how to lure them, tie falconry knots, and take part in other educational and fun experiences. All sessions are 90 minutes and include species information, the opportunity to fly a raptor, a question-and-answer session and a souvenir photo opportunity.
