Constanta apartments

Lovely flat, very modern and immaculate. Very friendly and welcoming owners. We asked for extra beddding and we were served straight away. You can hear the sea from the flat just can’t see due it due to buildings around it. The weather was lovely, nice sunny balcony for a morning coffee. Quiet area and easy access to local cafés and some local restaurants. All the conditions if you want to cook too. Short walk to the beach from the flat, we were put of season so the beach was perfect, nice and quiet but we had to have snacks for the kids as no open cafés at the beach. We had daily bus permits to travel to different beaches and places, I would recommend to have a car for the ease of traveling with kids.. local taxis are expensive but we were recommended uber and bolt taxi ( you need an app for it) and that was a better option for an easier way to travel when kids were tired. Overall a great experience.

The complex Corabia Piratilor was a lovely peaceful haven in a heavily built up surrounding area. The grass and flower beds around the 8 ‘vilas’ in the complex are well tended making it a pleasant green space where children can play. My teenage son and I stayed in a first floor apartment in the ‘Protocoll’ Vila which was away from the main road overlooking the swimming pool. (A couple of the vilas which are right beside the main road would be quite noisy.) The apartment we were in had a good sized bedroom with a large wardrobe, king size bed and air conditioning, a spacious hall area, bathroom with a good shower and a living/dining room with a large sofa bed, table and chairs and a fridge, sink and microwave. There was crockery and cutlery for 2 people and a Pyrex casserole dish with lid- fairly minimal for self catering but it worked for us. The accommodation is basic but spotlessly clean, comfortable and practical. The complex is very pleasant with a children’s play area, lovely pool and barbecue equipment to borrow. The location is good for the beach - a 5 minute walk across the road (where there is a pedestrian crossing) and through the campsite straight onto the beach. There are a couple of very nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk (La Scioca and Hanul cu Peste) as well as a couple of well stocked supermarkets. Vicentiu was a very friendly and helpful host replying promptly to queries before we travelled and while we were there. Definitely recommend for families
