France country houses

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the villa in France! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The house is fully equipped and very well maintained, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool is a perfect size — great for both relaxing and having fun.Patric, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel very welcome. The garden is large, beautifully kept, and fully fenced, which was ideal for our dog. There's even a lovely play area for children, making it perfect for families.The location is great too — very peaceful, yet close to nearby towns and attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy our holiday. Highly recommended!

Following three days in Aix we picked up a hire car in Marseille and headed to Cassis for a week. Communication in advance of arrival was great and we were greeted promptly as agreed and shown where to park and then into the property. The apartment is large, comfortable, superbly equipped and has a great arty/academic/boho feel to it, all of which would give it a five star rating. The balcony and the view from it dial that up even further. Barring a slightly feeble AC unit there is literally nothing to fault. Handily placed to walk into the port, old town and beaches yet still private and quiet. We were able to visit Toulon, Arles, Avignon and Marseille but the twin highlights were the Calanque boat trip and the drive over the Route des Crêtes to La Ciotat and back. Cassis is very French and all the better for that. You couldn’t stay anywhere better without booking in to the 5-star hotel around the corner at significantly increased cost. Merci beaucoup. Lovely property. Modern, clean and comfortable. Walking distance to good restaurants. An easy walk into the centre of Blois, which has plenty of things to do for a day or two. Not far to drive to other chateaus. Very pleasant host.

Very enjoyable week staying in Olive Tree. Gite, garden and pool were all excellent with friendly and helpful owners. Good location, with Carcassonne a short drive away, vineyards nearby and hills to the north and south. We would definitely like to return.

Exceeded expectation

We had the perfect stay in this spotlessly clean apartment right on the sea front, only 2mins walk to the tram stop. Valérie was there to welcome us upon arrival and had put a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us to enjoy. Well stocked kitchen with Nespresso machine and capsules included, we felt spoilt! Very easy to visit all the beautiful places along the coast from here using public transport. In all a highly recommended property hosted by a lovely lady! Thank you.

Lovely stay. Sophie is very welcoming and helpful. The spotless apartment is in a great location on a back street next to the palace. Louvre a few mins walk away. We loved walking through the palace every morning and evening. The mini elevator was fun, too! I’d suggest ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me - the apartment overlooks a bar opposite so you get a bit a noise from people leaving and some traffic on the road. The location more than makes it worthwhile. Hope to be back again soon, thanks Sophie :)
