Beautiful area, very quiet, and only minutes away from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.The coach house is furnished to a very high standard with all the facilities you could possibly need.Robert and Julie were very welcoming and superb hosts.We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Stayed a couple of nights as a base to go to the coast with our 2 dachshunds, location was very quiet and perfect for relaxing, property was secure for our pets, a couple of miles in either direction was a village with pubs, shops etc. Coast was only 20 mins drive. Overall a very pleasant stay...

Excellent location for a relaxing break away from all noise except countryside animals. Still close enough to civilisation for a 10 min drive to pubs and Scarborough beach. - took a while to locate the property as Sat Nav took to wrong place.

Absolutely gorgeous little cottage in the North Yorkshire moors. Amazing location, lovely and quiet and perfect for a little family get away. Host had put up a Christmas tree for our stay which was totally unexpected. House has everything that you need and host is nearby if anything is needed. Great spot for discovering Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood bay.

We had a lovely time staying this fishermens cottage. The views from the front were amazing and with teenagers in tow it was great to be walking distance of so many things. Layout of the cottage was perfect for us and we had no problems with the parking. Would definitely recommend,

The hosts are excellent and have paid attention to detail with the quality of fixtures and fittings inside the property of a very good standard. little touches like tea,coffee and milk provided for your arrival. There were even cakes and biscuits. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend to any couple looking for a quiet getaway.

Loved our stay at Lantern Cottage. Setting and cottage is gorgeous. Everything you could need to a lovely relaxing holiday. Even though the weather wasn’t great we managed to do a bit of exploring of the coastal paths, along with the seaside resort of Scarborough and Filey. Even when the weather didn’t work with us, we enjoyed spending time in the cottage relaxing. Hot tub was great, and jacuzzi bath was a lovely addition on not so great days. The scenery was amazing, even on misty days when the surroundings felt they could have been from a film. Loved the personal little touches when we arrived such as champagne and chocolates. Would definitely recommend and return to Lantern Cottage.

Spacious, clean, well equipped property in great grounds (complete with resident ducks and a roe deer one morning). Good location for just strolling to the village or walking to Whitby along the Cinder Track or via the railway. Azmat was responsive.
