About this property

Farmhouse Cottage Near Monument And Air Force Academy

Let our Farmhouse Cottage be your home away from home while you enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Our fully restored cottage is nestled among 11 acres of towering pine trees. We love that our home is situated just minutes from historic downtown Monument and the Air Force Academy yet feels away from it all.

Outdoors: Wrap-around porches and dining patios surround the home. A gas grill is provided. Perhaps you will enjoy a round of golf at nearby King's Deer Golf Club or take a walk through the trees on the property.

Inside: 105 Cottage, built in 1929, was fully restored in 2015. Original hardwood floors and shiplap walls were uncovered and restored in true fixer-upper style during the process.

Great room: sleeps (2)
This bright room features soaring ceilings and the original rock fireplace. There is plenty of room to relax, watch television or play games at the farmhouse table. A queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress sleeps 2.

Kitchen and Dining:
Located just off the great room is the newly constructed kitchen. Granite counter tops, KitchenAid stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink make it easy to prepare a meal even on vacation! Basic spices and oils are provided for your convenience. There is plenty of seating at the large island and adjacent open concept dining room.

Master Suite: King (Sleeps 2)
This comfortable room with a view of the trees has a King Size bed. The attached master bath with dual sinks and an over-sized subway tile shower with relaxing rain-head is accessed through sliding barn-doors.

Guest Suite: Queen (Sleeps 2)
Queen sized-bed, shiplap walls with attached bath.

Upstairs Guest Room: Queen (Sleeps 2)
A queen bed makes this treehouse retreat tucked under the eaves appealing to adults and children alike!

Powder Room and Shower Room:
Easily accessible for the upstairs guest room. The "shower room" as we call it, holds the homes original cast iron soaking tub/ and new shower combination.

Laundry:
Main level laundry contains an LG front load washer and dryer.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We had such a nice family vacation in the Colorado Springs area. This lovely updated farmhouse had everything that we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable time together. We stayed for one week in Monument at this gem. Honestly, this is the best vacation home we have ever rented. Both Leslie and Troy were wonderful to work with. It is an escape, but fairly close to many of the mountain attractions .My family and I had a relaxing and pampered feeling staying on this beautiful property .

We fell in love with the trees and acreage of this unique property. As a family we spent 2 years lovingly restoring this little piece of the Monument area history. The challenge of a restoration and the close proximity to all things Colorado made this home a must have for us!
