- Trash and Recycle: In the Adirondacks we are very keen on the environment, and this means we do recycle our trash. Please keep separate bags (we supply them, under basement stairs) in large cans for plastic, tin & steel and glass. Newspaper in a pile. Check out time is 10 am, no later: 1) Do not lock the side door, the caretaker will be in shortly. Leave the keys on the kitchen counter. 2) Please strip the beds and pillow cases. Place al used towels and linens in the provided laundry baskets near the washer and dryer. We request that you start washing a load of the sheets/pillowcases/towels when you leave. There is limited time in between guests to clean all the used linen and this helps to get the job done. 3) Please leave the camp as you found it, an old Adirondack tradition. - "take out what you brought in" - kitchen cleaned up, dishes done & put away - laundry in the washing machine and going - turn off lights - set baseboard thermostats to OFF - pack up your belongings, food & liquor - lock back doors, close windows - garbage in bag in garbage cans under cellar stairs Actually these things are not a lot to do and it makes it much easier to welcome the next guest on time just as you were welcomed.
