Nice property in lovely quiet village
This recently renovated / converted building is very nice, with plenty of space, patio, decently kitted out kitchen and electric roller shutters to keep cool (although no A/C). The host Didier was very friendly, even getting in touch by text before our stay to ask us to pay him directly so Vrbo didn't get a cut of the fee.
However during our stay, the upstairs shower was out of order (not a problem as there's a bath and decent shower downstairs). Unfortunately though, the shower drain was emitting a nasty smell probably due to its leaking trap. Also, when we used the dishwasher, dirty water spewed up into the downstairs shower which was quite unpleasant. And the downstairs toilet seemed to have a leak behind it and smelled badly. Other than that, everything was fine. If you do use the dishwasher, just make sure you're wearing insulating sandals as it gave me a mild shock when touched. Nothing dangerous just a little unpleasant. Oh and the upstairs loo is one of those with a built in macerator so it can go into a 40mm sink drain. Works well but makes a bit of a racket when you flush it.
This is all very strange given that the host who lives next door is (if my French understanding is to be trusted) a plumber!
