Description of our home:
*Living Room: open concept living room adjoins the dining area and kitchen. The large windows allow lots of natural light to enter and provide you with amazing views of the water. A pull out sofa in the living room will sleep 2 comfortably.
*Kitchen: fully stocked kitchen with all necessities for preparing a wonderful home cooked meal while visiting the coast.
*Bedroom 1: King Bed - sleeps 2 Newly updated!
*Bedroom 2: Queen Bed - sleeps 2
*Living room 3: Couch is a sofa sleeper and will sleep 1-2
*Bathroom: full bath with tub/shower combination.
*Gas Fireplace

Dog fee in the amount of $15/dog/night, not to exceed two dogs with a $30/dog minimum. Any additional fees owed will be added after booking. Dogs must be at least 1 year of age and spayed or neutered. Contract will note full requirements

What a great space to stay in our first ever trip to Cannon Beach! Having the beach right outside our front door was amazing to look at and get to. We could walk right downtown to all the wonderful shops, coffees and foods.

We love this place! We used to stay on the south end of town until we found this on VRBO. We stayed a few months ago and loved it so much that we booked it again right away. Our dog loves being right on the beach and my wife loves that she only has to walk around the corner to be at all of the shops. The house is clean and well kept. We will be back again soon!!

Great view and location. Kitchen well equipped. Owners very nice and communicate well.Now the not great part: House has a lot of deferred maintenance as it’s quite shabby - chipped paint, worn out cabinets, musty smell, old carpeting. I tried to take a hot bath and there wasn’t enough hot water, though all we’d done is rinse dishes. We were expecting a lot more for this price range.

The property was not up to our standards. The cabinets were very cheap, the mattress in the guest room was old and sagged in the middle. Our friends were not able to sleep in the bed. We left after one night.

Cannon Beach 2025

We had a great time staying here. Malia was great to work with and the entire process was completely seamless. The location is amazing with super easy access to the beach and downtown Cannon. We were able to walk everywhere and leave our car parked the entire time. Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay on Cannon Beach

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The place was perfectly situated for long walks on the beach, great access to town and hikes in the neighboring state parks. We loved the property, the location and how roomy and inviting the surroundings are. We will return!

We really enjoyed our vacation in this lovely home. It was quiet and picturesque and perfect mix of relaxation and activities. Especially loved the super soft sheets on the beds!

Loved the view and the location!

It's really hard to beat this location where you can step onto the beach AND into the charming downtown of Cannon Beach. The place is dated, and being a round house makes for an interesting floor plan, BUT it was extremely clean, well kept up, stocked (towels, extra blankets and pillows, kitchen), cozy and comfortable. Malia and Arnie were very attentive hosts - we had a wonderful post-Thanksgiving weekend with our kids.

Great time

The place was awesome. Very close to restaurants and shopping yet quiet. The view of the sunsets was stunning. It had a great fireplace plus anything we needed and was very clean. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful property on the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place. The location is ideal, close to the beach and close to town. The amenities are first rate with literally everything one could ask for at your fingertips. The place was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was completely reliable. The owners replaced the washing during our stay which was thoughtful of them. I recommend this castle without reservation.

Loved staying here!

We loved staying at the Sand Castle! The location is fabulous. Walkable to downtown Cannon Beach shops and restaurants. We loved watching the pelicans gather in the estuary and even saw a few elk crossing the water. This is a very special place. It’s an older property but extremely clean. We will be back!

The perfect getaway!

Such a cozy and comfortable home with incredible views! The location is amazing - very easy access to the beach and it's literally steps into town. The house has everything you need, including a very comfortable bed. Super clean and also really quiet. We very much loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Perfect location and a great little rental!

We had a wonderful time at The Sand Castle. Absolutely perfect location, a very short walk to downtown Cannon Beach and beach front with a path to the sand. This rental had all the amenities and we loved the cute pet friendly touches. The owners were very responsive before-during-after our visit as well and the home was very clean. We will 💯 be back for a return visit!

Malia was raised in Honaunau, Hawaii in a little town south of Kona. We love raising our daughter Pualani on the lovely Oregon Coast. Our business area includes Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach & Arch Cape. We enjoy walking around the beaches year-round, swimming in the creeks during the summer warmer months, or surfing. Some of our favorite hiking spots are Oswald West and Ecola State Park from Crest beach to Indian beach. Everywhere we go we see someone we are connected to. From going to the post office, grocery shopping, having a meal, or just shopping. Which is why we started our business Kukui House Services here. Kukui means “light” in Hawaiian.
