Fantastic host and lovely property!
We had a great time staying at the cottage! It was clean and well stocked with essentials. Access was clear and simple and parking on the street was no hassle at all! As a host Brad was very welcoming and accommodating (even bringing us some extra towels to dry off after we arrived back from a very rainy day out!). We would definitely stay again if we ever make it back out to LA from the UK!

Mixed Experience with Unreasonable Charges and Maintenance Issues
The host/owner charged us an additional fee for a stain on the couch fabric. This appeared unreasonable as they could have effortlessly washed it (it was merely Mentholatum oil used for bug bites from the house, not a permanent marker). Instead, they insisted on obtaining a "NEW" futon cover and alleged that we were accountable for the replacement expense. In our most recent conversation, I expressed disagreement. Although the initial message indicated a $50 cost for a new cover, they ultimately charged us $90 from our card. Moreover, there was an issue with the hot water not working correctly. Despite their claim of resolving the matter, the problem persisted throughout the 8-night booking, proving to be quite inconvenient. Despite this, we chose not to request a refund and aimed to be considerate tenants. However, it was disheartening when they sought additional payment, attempting to exploit the situation. Additionally, during our stay, there was a request from them inquiring if their family friends, who were workers, could visit the property. This raised suspicions about their intentions. We humbly request Brad, the owner, to reconsider the necessity of this charge. We firmly believe it is fundamentally unfair for you as an owner to engage in such actions, unilaterally imposing charges of any amount onto the held card.

Perfect Place
The Cottage was the perfect place for our family to stay at. We came to visit family in the area for a few days before heading to Hawaii. I honestly wanted to take this cottage to Hawaii to continuum my stay. It was the perfect space for us. Fully equipped, beautifully decorated, owner is very attentive and responsive to your needs. I will definitely think of staying here next time we come down.

Cute cottage!
Although we only slept there two nights and spent the days away from the property, we enjoyed the set up and comfort of cute cottage. Rules were clearly spelled out and reasonable. The only unexpected visitors were spiders in the shower.

Family vacation
Or stay at The Cottage was wonderful! We felt very comfortable and safe. Brad was extremely prompt when replying to a few questions that I had, but allowed us our space during our visit. We felt like it was our own little home, and it was just great! I usually don’t sleep well during trips, but I slept very well during our stay. Thank you Brad! We look forward to our next stay at The Cottage.
