A nice cottage but needs some TLC
This clearly used to be a wonderful cottage but The photos are not very up to date. The outside areas were unkempt & overgrown, the top terrace that we thought we would use a lot just wasn't a pleasant place to spend time & we had to clean the dining furniture before we could use it. The shower is in dire need of refreshing, and the fridge has seen better days. The kitchen is well equipped but we had to wash up a lot of things before we could use them (obviously not the owners fault). On the plus side the cottage is very cosy, the bed was really comfortable, it's really peaceful and the location is excellent. We wouldn't stay again as it really wasn't for us but it does have its charms.

Lovely property
Spacious and comfortable gite, well equipped in the kitchen. Communication with the owner via Whatsapp made that side extremely easy. Lovely location on the bank of the Dordogne. As so few people actually live in the village I recommend going put after dark to look at the street, houses, river, with just you and the street lights.

Outstanding!!! Stunning!!
What a fantastic property!! We felt so lucky to have discovered this stunning house in the beautiful village of La Roque Gageac. The owners have renovated the house to an extremely high standard, and everything to provide a comfortable stay had been thought of. The added bonus of a completely private sun terrace overlooking the rooves of the village was "the icing on the cake"for us !! Perfect for an afternoon in the sun or evening drinks watching the sunset..... There was plenty to do and see in the local area and two weeks just wasn't enough to do everything we wanted to do. We didn't want to leave this beautiful corner of the world and would definitely return. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to family and friends. Thank you Anne and Louis!! Lovely
Ideally situated in the middle of a cliffside village on the banks of the Dordogne. It is very well equipped and comfortable. There is a lovely seating area outside to enjoy the warm evening and watch the hot air ballons floating by. Lots of little shops and restaurants. The Fat Pig is good, and if you want to push the boat out the Belle Etoile is next door, a real gourmet experience. A good central location for sightseeing. The property is built into the cliff so lots of stairs, and a low beam in the living room to watch out for. The owners are quick to respond. Highly recommended.
