Positives: close to train: accommodates a lot of guest: hot tub: Negatives: noisy street: not one comfortable chair or couch to read or watch tv- the couches are daybeds: 2 rolls of tp for 5 days - I was glad I had my own: backyard now has a house on it.

Favorite Location

This is our second stay at this house and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! The location is walking distance to the downtown. Its location is perfect because the house is a little tucked away which provides some privacy. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the backyard! We like when a hot tub gets pretty hot and the temperature was just right plus the jets worked great on my stiff back. The house is very cozy and the beds sleep great! We will definitely be returning soon 😊

Dated but, clean

The interior of the house is dated but, clean. I noticed that a few other reviews stated that the home was not clean. We did not find that to be the case. It could use an overhaul of interior updates however, it was a clean place to lay our heads take a shower. Although we didn’t cook most of the necessities seemed to be there. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star on all categories is the fact that you can walk to Bryson city at your own risk. There are no sidewalks and to no fault of the property owner vehicles fly up and down that road so we didn’t chance it. The neighborhood made me a little skeptical at first but it is very quiet and seemed perfectly safe. Overall it was a good stay.

House was extremely clean & location was very convenient. Only thing I would recommend is some better landscaping & owner should provide more toilet paper & paper towels.

A good size for a family stay near Bryson City, it has vibes of visiting grandma's house. Basic amenities provided and parking/entry were easy. The location tempts you to walk to the city, but no sidewalk or streetlights and surrounding neighbors who made you not want to. Neighbors had an audible fight in the evening with no family friendly language. Foosball table was fun but missing a few pieces. Hot tub was fun but could use a walkway or path from door to the hot tub. Overall clean house, but did find lots of cobwebs, sheets still in the washer, and just an overall feel that it's an old house. It had everything it said it did, just not in amazing condition.

Before you make your decision go to google maps and review the street scape. It is in an area with a bunch of trailers. I didn’t mind that so much. But there was a disturbance when we arrived at the trailer across the street. 5 cop cars were called. I called the owner. She was very prompt in her reply. She called the police department and found that it was a domestic situation. She was very good at communication. But it still made us very wary. There is also a lot of dogs yapping from time to time. The home was clean. It’s needing a little TLC. Drippy faucets. Storm door broken. Needs some trimming of landscaping. But it sure is close to town. I wouldn’t walk though. It’s a narrow street with no sidewalk and a lot of traffic.

Nice place to stay for n Bryson City NC

Accommodations were comfortable. House was older but good ambiance. Neighbors were loud and sketchy at times. But, no personal interactions. Also, a camera was in the living area. Overall a good place to stay to ride the train and enjoy Bryson City.

5/5 Stars – Perfect Cozy Stay in the Heart of Bryson City!

We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! The location is unbeatable—just a short and easy walk to downtown Bryson City and the railway. We visited for the Polar Express and had a wonderful time. Even my elderly stepfather, who struggles with stairs and walking, was able to make the trip effortlessly. This is a classic small mountain town with a mix of older homes, which adds to its charm. If you’re expecting modern luxury homes, this isn’t the area—but the cottage itself is like visiting Grandma’s house in the best way. It’s quaint, cozy, and so welcoming. The house was immaculately clean, which is a big deal for me. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The host even left us holiday shortbread cookies, which was such a sweet touch! There’s also a hot tub, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and little extras like a foosball table and games. We brought my parents’ dogs along, and it was such a relief to have a pet-friendly place where they could join us. The host was kind and accommodating, and while we didn’t need anything during our stay, I felt confident they’d have helped if we had. This cottage was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It’s reasonably priced, incredibly close to everything, and just felt like home. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Bryson City. Highly recommend!Thank you for a wonderful stay!
