We were in town for the rock and roll hall of fame induction and this place was perfect for it. Great location, easy to get to the places we wanted to go to and just an amazing property.

We really weren't comfortable with the neighborhood, so we thought it'd be best to find accommodations which were more hospitable. To describe the place as an "urban oasis in the heart of Cleveland" is very misleading. It was urban, but certainly not an oasis, nor in the heart of Cleveland. Not a walkable neighborhood, nor restaurants nearby. Downtown was maybe a 10-minute drive. We did go inside and the apartment was as pictured, but we weren't comfortable staying either night.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that the surrounding area didn’t match your personal preferences. Our listing clearly describes the home as an urban property, and we provide detailed photos and information so guests know exactly what to expect. As you noted, the apartment itself was exactly as advertised.
Many guests stay with us because of the convenient location near Cleveland’s major hospitals and campus, but we understand that every traveler has different expectations and comfort levels with urban environments.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and wish you the best in your future travels.
Apartment was clean and welcoming. Check in process was easy. My only recommendation would be the addition of shelves or table in bedrooms for clothes.
We were in town for an appointment at Cleveland Clinic. This was a great location. Short drive to restaurants and stores. Only a few minute drive to our appointment. Host was wonderful and provided extras that I haven’t had with other VRBO stays. When we are back for our next appointment we definitely stay again. Thank you!
Space was as pictured and was secure from the outside. Nice and FREE Parking. All kitchen and bathroom supplies were available. The outdoor deck was helpful for reading catching some shade. There were extra blankets in case you needed them. Location was not walkable and needed to drive for food and nightlife, which was only 10 mins away. The snacks and individual beverages for sale was a little different from other stays but were available if needed.
We decided on a last minute trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of fame for my birthday. The house is just as it looks in the listing. was modern, clean, smelled wonderful, and made us feel right at home. We were about 10 minutes from the Hall of Fame and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to do things we wanted to do! Beds were comfy. The host even had balloons and a gift waiting for me on arrival. Thank you, Carolyn, for making me feel special! We enjoyed our stay in Cleveland!
Please take all of this with a grain of salt. It was our first time in Cleveland. Cleveland is a unique city and my opinion may be skewed by that.
The location seemed a bit shady at first but in all honesty after the first day we felt safe.
There was a downstairs apartment and they jammed out all day but at 7:30 the music turned off and it was quiet.
Kitchen was well stocked, we like to cook rather than go out.
Property manager left a care package. It was kind.
The neighborhood would get a little wild after dark with music and cars. We were there on the weekend which may have influenced that. There were some loud pipes on the cars. It wasn’t too crazy but be aware.
The VRBO messaging system made it difficult to get our check in info while we were traveling. I would have like to had it the day before. Again, take this with a grain of salt.
Over all I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting Cleveland. It is situated very close to downtown if you plan to see a game. Also, it is pretty close to Lake Erie. The experience was good.
Best host ever, but property needs some rehabilitation!
As a longtime user of VRBO, I find it necessary to write a lengthy review, in hopes the owner takes some action!
The dilapidation of the property is evident as soon as we pulled into the driveway!
The steps and landing to the 2nd floor entrance at this location are terribly slanted and I think unsafe! This covered porch is deteriorating, yet has been nailed, stapled and patched beyond belief As well, the front porch is in dire need of repair and the guttering and railing are falling.
Once inside the house, things were neat and clean, which we greatly appreciated, but this owner really needs to to be aware of all the unsafe measures inside that property. I suspect it hasn't been inspected by the housing department there in Cleveland, but it really should! For instance, the bathtub has a plastic/rubber coating that is peeling, the refrigerator ice maker hoses run along the outside doorframe to the adjacent wall! We had a door knob that had been glued to a door fall off the first time we turned it.
Had it not been for the fabulous host Carolyn, we would have sought other accommodations. She was outstanding in every area and I wish the owners would compensate her somehow for her fabulous customer service skills! VRBO needs more Carolyn's!
I'm sad to have to write this, but it sure gave VRBO a black eye. I'll think twice before using them in my future.

As a host and owner, I am concerned that you did not allow me the opportunity to address your concerns during your stay. You had no issues communicating with me before and during your stay and I was readily available and answered your concerns when you needed additional instructions opening the lockbox, using the door code; accessing the streaming service; requesting additional towels which I provided (although there were 4 sets of towels, facecloths and washcloths available -- and additional washcloths for 4 people and there was only 2 guests visiting); advising me that you like to sit outside and whether seating was available (which was made available to you). I responded and forward information to you concerning your request of free events to attend while visiting Cleveland. Because you did not allow me an opportunity to address your concerns while you were visiting, I will do so now. The doorknob you spoke of does not turn it was screwed into the door with power tools and was put there to allow you to open and close the door only (I repaired what you damaged). The property does NOT have housing code violations. The gutters, front and back porch including the railings are safe. If I had known you felt uncomfortable using the back stairs, I would have provided you key access to use the front inside stairway to enter and exit the property. I appreciate your concerns and the opportunity to host your visit. Thank you for identifying that I have outstanding customer service skills and that VRBO needs more of me.
