It was such a quaint little spot. Im glad there were other guests the night we stayed. The outdoor shower was a fun thing. I think this was my campground shower i had on vacation.
Away from it all but close to some great trails and snorkeling
I stayed on the north side for half of my vacation and at this spot for the second half. You definitely need a vehicle to get there. The site is cozy with plenty of amenities but know that it's camping. Everything functioned as it should. The fan was a very handy in the tent at night. It gets warm down here. It rained a bit while there so know that tents are never 100% waterproof. That said, none of my things got wet. If you are a tent camper, you know the normal culprits for leaks and plan accordingly.
There was plenty of beach gear is available to borrow for beach use: snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. Due to proximity, it's also easy to catch a sunrise/sunset hike to Rams Head which I highly recommend.
The owners are on site and very friendly/helpful. Plenty of room in the fridge for your food. There are a couple small grocery stores within 5-10 min drive. There are a few restaurants on that side of the island but make sure you watch social media as their hours online or on their signs don't always match reality. If you want to go back to Cruz Bay, it's a good 30 min but doable for sure.
If you're looking for a chill, no frills, budget friendly, camper vibe kind of place, this is a good spot.
I somehow missed the part that the toilet was about 50 yards away from the container.I also missed the part that it was a “peekaboo shower“ in the outdoor kitchen area (40 yards away), with a view of the owners front porchBeing retired military, with several overseas visits, that was not a problem for me.My wife was a little bit more delicate and refused to use the shower
