We absolutely loved our stay here. The host left a lot of goodies and the home was very clean and relaxing. It is a really good central location for Garden of the Gods, Cave in the Rock and the Millstone Bluffs. Restaurants were excellent and everyone in the area is super friendly.
This house was adorable and the hosts were so gracious and kind! We were there celebrating my husband‘s birthday, and they left a birthday cake for him-so thoughtful :)
They went above and beyond. The place was clean and very comfortable. There were snacks and drinks left for us. They even had the fire pit ready to light. We had a mishap and 1 of our guest had to go to the hospital. Katie offered to come and give moral support and go get what we needed. They even offered to get us home if we needed it. There were books to read and games to play. I don't think I have ever had as good of service as this. I will always be greatful. If I come back to this area this is where I will stay.

Hosts were great with accommodations and easy to communicate with. This property was a great place to stay when visiting Shawnee National Forest.
The host and hostess went above and beyond. Stocking many extras, offering hiking info to my daughter in law and my granddaughters. I booked it as a mother's day present.
The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything you might need. They had a lot of extras. There was a few things for the kids to play with. Puzzles and books for everyone. Very convenient for us to visit with family. Things to do in the area as well.

Owners were very helpful and communicated throughout the entire trip. Home was clean, well stocked & they even provided extra amenities beyond normal expectations. Snacks, k-cup coffee pods, expandable towels for hiking, charcoal & lighter fluid for the grill. We were very pleased with the accommodation and highly recommend this place to stay. Just great people all around.
Cute well kept house. We were in the area for a benefit and fit our needs very well. We will definitely keep in mind for future visits to the area

A comfortable little house with just the space we needed. The couple did so many little extras, popcorn, snacks, bottled water, water filter pitcher, picnic supplies, etc. Communication was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stay near Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock Trail! We had such a great stay here! The home was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel extra welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with staples—including coffee and bottled water—which we really appreciated. Everything was spotless, and there were plenty of clean towels available. The owner was very responsive and friendly, both before our arrival and during our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock Trail, which were our main destinations. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy home. There was so much attention to detail - seasonal decorations, comfy furniture, and a very well stocked kitchen and bathroom. A fire was set up for us in the backyard, snacks and drinks were left out for us, and the house was very clean and tidy. Our hosts were attentive and made some great hiking suggestions. We recommend staying at the Shawnee Hideaway!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is older but has all the comforts of home, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Anytime we needed something, it was there — from toiletries and cooking spices to little candies left for the kids when we checked in.We loved the remote, rural setting — it was peaceful and a great place to unwind after long days of hiking, biking, and exploring the forest. The only small downside was some traffic noise from trucks passing by in the mornings, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It was so nice having a comfortable place to come back to each night, make a homemade meal, clean up, and relax before another day of adventure. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor fire pit (we talked about it every night but were too tired from exploring!), so that’s something to look forward to next time. We’d definitely love to come back — there’s so much more to do and see in the area!
Very friendly and nice people. They brought tomatoes and corn out of their garden for us and checked in on how we were doing and had lots of supplies in the fridge and on the table. Would recommend staying there anytime
The host was amazing! Gave so many wonderful recommendations of things to do in the area as well as help us choose which hiking paths to walk for our group. Clear directions so the place was very easy to find. This cozy little cottage was clean and had all the little touches to make you feel at home. We would absolutely stay here again!
This is a quote he wrote in our guest book when he left
