About this property
Seaview Retreat & Sauna at An Acre By The Sea
Situated just 150 metres from the sea, our caravan is set on a beautiful mature acre of land with total privacy. A perfect opportunity to switch off and enjoy everything nature has to offer.
Relax in our sauna, take to the ocean in our kayaks or take advantage of the many coastal walks from our doorstep.
With Clonakilty, Inchydoney and Courtmacsherry all within 10 kms, our place is also the perfect place to retreat for a weekend of exploring West Cork. Suitable for 3/4 people.
The space:
Our caravan is located on our property overlooking the ocean at the idyllic Ballinglanna Bay in beautiful West Cork. We have a little over an acre of land surrounded by mature trees and green fields.
The caravan is only a few years old so it has all the mod cons that older caravans wouldn’t have such as insulation, double glazed windows and ducted heating throughout, making it very cosy.
It is equipped with everything you need such as a hot shower and bathroom and kitchen and dining space. If you haven’t tried staying in a caravan before, it’s also a great opportunity to give the caravan life a go!
Our location is incredibly peaceful and is the perfect place to slow down and have a little reset.
There is an abundance to offer in the area but some of our favourite things to do are:
- Have a slow morning, cook a wholesome breakfast and sit out in the sun to eat.
- Have a swim on high tide at the boat ramp just 150 metres from the caravan.
- Walk to Simon’s Cove via the cliffs from Ballinglanna Bay
- Kayak in the bay and explore the area by the sea
- Go for a sunset stroll to Ring Pier in Clonakilty Harbour just a 3km drive or walk from the caravan.
- Have dinner outside in the beautiful Courtmacsherry Hotel while overlooking the bay.
- Go to Incydoney for a walk on the beach.
Whether you decide to completely chill out or tackle some of the activities above, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay!

About the host
Hosted by Paul Kilroy

I’m Paul, I’m 35 and I’m originally from County Westmeath, Ireland. I lived in Australia for 12 years and travelled a lot while I was there. I always enjoyed meeting new people and seeing new places. I particularly loved anywhere near the ocean. When it came time to buy my own place and settle down, I knew I wanted to be beside the sea and that I also would love to help other people enjoy it too. Setting up a holiday rental seemed like the way to go. I started hosting in 2025 and it’s been a great journey so far. I now have a home that I love and a space for others to enjoy too. I love seeing new people getting joy from our place and I hope to continue sharing it with others for years to come.
Why they chose this property
The untouched beauty in this place is second to none. It has beautiful charm, lovely people and when the sun is out, there is nowhere is you would want to be!
What makes this property unique
I’m a big believer in “your vibe attracts your tribe”! What makes us unique is that we know what people love because we have been those people. Our most memorable trips have been to places where we met people like us who had a vision for their space and were creating something very unique. We are now in those boots. We are creating something very unique here and everyday our property is getting better and better to give our guests a really unique and inspiring stay.
