Charming Four-Season Lakehouse with Scenic Views and Activities for All Ages
Nestled on the peaceful shores of Sand Pond, in the heart of Maine's Tacoma Lakes Region, this charming retreat is a hidden gem for families and friends seeking year-round adventure and relaxation. With four spacious bedrooms comfortably sleeping 8–10 guests, two full baths, and a mix of cozy gathering spaces and quiet corners, it's perfect for family reunions, friend getaways, or simply escaping the hustle of daily life. The home offers modern conveniences too, including internet access, a double-monitor workstation for those who need to stay connected, and three mini-splits that keep the house cool and comfortable during warmer months.
From the moment you arrive, you're surrounded by the natural beauty of Sand Pond. In warmer months, dive into crystal-clear waters, paddle a kayak or board, or bring your own watercraft with the nearby public boat launch. Fishing from the shore and hiking nearby trails provide plenty of land-based adventures, while evenings can be spent roasting marshmallows and stargazing around one of two firepits. We have fishing rods for both ice fishing and seasonal fishing. Ice fishing on Sand Pond is popular, and we also provide several lawn games for guests to enjoy, such as corn hole, badminton, and more.
As the seasons shift, so do the experiences. In winter, the pond becomes a playground for skating, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, while Maine's best downhill slopes are just a short drive away. Whether you're chasing adrenaline or craving a peaceful escape, this retreat delivers in every season.
Beyond the property, local amenities add even more to your stay. Tee off at The Meadow's Golf Club, sample local brews at Grateful Grain Brewery, or catch a show at the Theatre at Monmouth. Nearby towns like Gardiner, Hallowell, Augusta, and Lewiston offer charming shops, galleries, and dining—from Apple Valley Bakery and Doolin's Pub to The Quarry Tap Room and The Wood Shed of Kennebec Cabin Masters fame.
